Umeda Sky Building
As you might know, in 2008 in a daily newspaper "Times" of London the building was selected as one of the top 20 buildings around the world."
What a curious sight
In Osaka you can see a curious sight. It is that Hanshin Express Highway passes through the building. Do you believe it ? Actually you can see the sight from the 40th floor of observatory of Umeda Sky Building. Actually the highway passes between the 5h and the 7th floor of TKP building.
Why did this situation happened?
In 1993 the owner of that land was planning to build a building while the project of the highway construction came up almost at the same time. In the case like this, usually either side gave the place to the other but both sides did not. Both sides had a talk for 5 years and finally It was settled that the building was built and the highway passed in the middle of the building.
Building cleaning
Umeda Sky Building is 173 meters tall built in 1993. I happened to see the building cleaning. I have acrophobia, so I pay respect for workers.

From Umeda Sky Building you can see other beautiful sights such as the main tower of Osaka Castle. Yodo river, Grand Front Osaka (4 buildings) and the like.
