I think that you have many delicious food in your country. You can find many delicious food in my country, Japan, too.
There's a saying, "Honey is sweet, but the bee stings." We say, "We want to eat blowfish, however, we have to be careful of the poison of the blowfish." in Japanese.
In some area, such as Kyusyu area and Yamaguchi area, people sometimes call blowfish, 'Fuku' instead of 'Fugu'. This is because 'Fuku' means happiness in Japanese.
As you know, the ovary and liver of a blowfish contain a deadly poison, so, the chefs must have a license to cook them. Japanese people have loved eating fugu in nabe, Japanese style stew called 'Tecchiri', sashimi called 'Tessa' and fried. As for Tessa, sashimi of thinly sliced fugu are set on the plate with beautiful picture so that the picture is clearly seen through fugu.
You can find many places where you can enjoy fugu in Osaka, Kyoto... too.
