In Tokyo cherry blossom bloom from late March to middle of April however if your stay plan is after those period you can still see late-blossomed cherry blossom !
This beautiful garden was created as a garden for the imperial family, it was re-designated as a national garden after the Second World War and open to the public. The whole area of Shinjyuku Gyoen turns pink in cherry blossom season. There are 56 kinds of different type of cherry trees and total are 1100 trees. It started bloom from February "KANHIZAKURA" and "YOUKOU" to late April "KANZAN","ICYOU","UKON","KENROKUENKIZAKURA","GYOIKOU" and "FUGENSO". Each Sakura have own character so you can enjoy those beautiful cherry trees.
The representative modern western-style garden in Meiji era, blends three distinct styles, French Formal Garden, English Landscape Garden and Japanese Traditional Garden.
