Re: Fukakusa Jizo (深草地蔵; the stone image of a guardian deity) at the Shortest Way between the Far-Northern District of Lake Biwa and Tsuruga (敦賀) in Fukui Pref.
It was a bit "cooler" day today, comparing with the hottest tropical weather continuing in these several weeks. So, I went out for hiking on the old way which that famous love-story teller, Murasaki Shikibu (紫式部) also walked about 1,230 years ago when her father was transferred to Takefu (武生) as the governor for the district. Fukakusa Jizo is just on the mountain path. I was surely able to feel that the way and the surrounding atmosphere have not changed at all from the days of the royal dynasty.
