Shirakawa-go

is designated as a World Cultural Heritage site in 1995.  On May 26th I could see a farmhouse with newly replaced thatched roof.  I heard that the thatched roof has just replaced a week ago. The color of the roof was clearly brown and beautiful.  Luckily I could see water-discharge exercise.
