SUIREN NUMA POND, MT. HAKKODA
Suiren means water lilies in Japanese. Suiren Numa or Water lilies pond, is located along the "Gold Line" from Lake Towada to Aomori in the Hakkoda mountain range, near Kasamatsu Toge Pass which is 1,040 meter (3,412 ft) high. If weather permits, from this pond, you can also see 1,400 meter high Hakkoda mountains including Hakkoda Odake and Takada Odake. Also, on a clear beautiful day, these mountains reflect on the surface of the pond. This pond is definitely a must see, and is one of the best photo spots.
These two photos were taken on September 25, 2017, and on September 16,017. You can see how colors of leaves can change in ten days in Autumn.
