Yesterday, I guided Australian family to Tsukiji fish market. Father and his son (12 years old) came from Singapore for his son’s spring vacation. Tsukiji market is one of the unique place where you can feel their professionalism as fishermen. The documentary film called “Tsukiji Wonderland” shows that well. The Australian family enjoyed tasting some food samples; Tsukudani, which is preserved small fish by simmering with soy sauce, and roasted nuts, and Japanese green tea, etc. Usually children like sweets but the son preferred fish to sweets. I specially ordered Sea urchin Gunkan Sushi for them. They said they have never tasted such a delicious sea urchin in their life.
