Yanesen is a perfect place
In Yansesen there are many shops cafe related to cat, therefore it is a must-to-visit place for cat lovers. Here are some of them.
Kaiun Yanaka Do Kaiun means getting fortunate. This shop sells dolls and goods which represent Maneki Neko (beckoning cat) which is believed to invite good fortune.
Nekoemon Cafe This cafe is located next to Kaiun Yanaka Do. In this cafe you can make your own small Maneki Neko doll by coloring white one.
Gallery Nekomachi Located in the middle of residential area this shop looks like ordinary house but in front of this house you will notice objects in cat shape welcoming you!!. This is the gallery which features all cat related craft and artistic works.
Nenneko Ya This cafe is also located In the middle of residential area and is hard to find. However once you pass in front of this cafe you will never miss it becuase it has so unique and catchy appearance. In this cafe you can have Nyanko Curry (Kitty Curry), Nyapolitan (Kitty Pasta), Kitty Roll cake set and so on, all of which depict cute kitty face. You can play with real cats inside the cafe.
You may wonder why there are so many cat related shops and cafe here in Yanaka. It is because many stray cats are living in this neighborhood. If you are lucky during my Yanesen Walking Tour you can see some of them like the following picture
