It is also renowned for its tradition of hyena feeding and is a hub for Ethiopian poetry and art

A Tour for Babile
DAY -1
06:30 - 07:00 Drive from the hotel to the airport to take a Moring flight to Dire Dawa
07:20 -08:25 arrive in Dire Dawa
09:00 – 11:00 AM – In Dire Dawa, you will be met at the airport and will transfer to Harar.
11:00 – 13:00 – Harar, take a drive to Babile and the Valley of Marvels. The Valley of Marvels has wonderful landscapes, famous for its balancing rock formations.
14:00 – 16 :00 – the town of Babile has a very large market on Saturdays and a camel market on Mondays and Thursdays.
16 :30 – 17:30 - visit Koremi, a village made of stone houses set on top of a plateau. Afterwards, return to Harar for overnight
A day trip to Babile
DAY - 2
10:00 – 11:00 AM – countless mosques and shrines and unique Harari people and homes.
11:00 – 13:00 – Sites to visit of House of Rimbaud, Ras Tafari’s House, Ras Mekonnen’s Palace. 14:00 – 16 :00 – the Harari National Cultural Center, and
16 :30 – 17:30 - the tomb of Emir Nur, who built the famous Jugol
19:00 – 20:00 - At night you will visit the hyena man, who feeds the hyenas every night just outside the walls of the city. This tradition was started long ago to prevent these wild hyenas from hunting for food in the town. Guests are welcome, and encouraged, to feed the hyenas themselves.
Dire Dawa
DAY - 3
10:00 – 11:00 AM – visit the last places of interest in Harar
11:00 – 13:00 –. Depart to Dire Dawa. You will have a brief visit to the lively market at Kefira
14:00 – 15:00 – Lunch at a local restaurant.
16 :40 – 17:50 – Fly back to Addis Ababa.
Ending Point
Pick up from airport and drop at the hotel.

“Beautiful walk through impressive landscapes ”
Blue Nile gorge, Jemma valley and Portuguese bridge are absolutely amazing places of fantastic beauty. If you are in Ethiopia for only one day it is for sure the must-visit place. It would give a lot of unforgettable memories (and photos) to those who prefer walking in nature over city sightseeing. Our guide Demeke was very friendly, punctual, respectable guy with perfect English and a huge amount of knowledge regarding the tour. Highly recommended, 10/10
