Half-day Combined Tour of Acre
This tour is recommended for first-timers coming to Acre (aka Akko). It covers the crusader (underground) sites, today's (overground) city and some off-the-beaten-path gems! This tour offers a general overview of the different historical, cultural and social aspects of the city!
Meeting Point
At your hotel (if it's in the old city) or the entrance to "Parking lot the moat"

At the city's gate, we have a short into to the city's history, tour progression & discuss the city's fortifications
Akkotel
Outside this hotel, we discuss conservation & how it became popular in the city
City walls
We further discuss the city's fortifications, architecture, Al-Jazzar's regime, Napoleon's campaign in the Middle East & Al-Jazzar Mosque
Bustan Al-Pasha
A beautiful garden, where we talk about the importance of the city in the Ottoman Period, cover the story of the prison, and talk about the garden's huge trees
Knights' Halls (Crusader Fortress/Citadel)
A UNESCO World Heritage Site, the citadel is part of the Medieval city (approx. 1000 years old), when Acre was the capital city of the second Kingdom of Jerusalem. The site is underground, it's huge(!) and beautiful. Here we discuss archaeology, crafts, history, economy, politics, daily life & more!
The Turkish Bazaar
One of the Markets of the city, going through lots of conservation & renovation, and it has a unique vibe to it
The Jewish Neighborhood & Ramhal Synagogue
Covering the story of the Jewish Neighborhood & the Ramhal Synagogue, its architecture, importance and history
Arabesque Arts & Residency Center
We go into Arabesque, discuss the history of the place, the story of the owner, the restoration that took place there and its connection to the local community!
The Templar Tunnel
The Templar Tunnel is yet another underground site, most likely Medieval, crossing the city from east to west. Its true purpose is still a mystery to this day!
The Lighthouse Neighborhood
The lighthouse neighborhood is at the tip of the peninsula, here we discuss the Templar fortress, the recent history of the neighborhood, and conclude our tour!

Same as meeting point, or anywhere inside the old city

Tour Important Information
- Please be sure to wear comfy shoes, have water on you, sunblock, a hat and/or umbrella
- The underground sites are NOT claustrophobic, except for two segments which we can walk around
- Most of the city is wheelchair accessible
