This tour focuses on the latest version of the city, the Ottoman city. After the destruction of the Medieval city by the Mamluks in the late 13th century, Acre became a small port village until a wave of development began in the 17th century by Fakhr al-Din ibn Maan, followed by Dahir al-Umar al-Zidani & Ahmad Pasha al-Jazzar, the result of which is the current, living old city! culture, religion, architecture, conservation, culinary, recent history, art, politics, coexistence & more!

Food & drink, Entrance to sites:
- Al-Jazzar Mosque 10 ILS per person - paid by the customers at the Mosque
- Please be sure to wear comfy shoes, have water on you, sunblock, a hat and/or umbrella
- As we'll be visiting a religious site, please be sure to wear pants that cover the knee & shirts that cover the shoulders. Women are required to cover their hair - the mosque lends headscarves in case you don't have any
- Most of the city is wheelchair accessible
