I have witnessed the region's transformation from a sleepy industrial city to the vibrant metropolis of today. I spent many years practicing karate and have also developed a deep interest in Buddhism. I speak Japanese confidently. I'm new to GoWithGuide but have previous experience giving walking tours. To be able to introduce you to a few of my favourite Nagoya suburbs would be a treat. There are fascinating, historic temples as well as a stupa that purportedly contains a portion of the Buddha's ashes. Also, there are numerous tempting eateries and a few quirky shops. Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route has seven stations Between Tateyama in Toyama Prefecture and Ogisawa in Nagano Prefecture. We can move about 37km-roure using three vehicles such as cable cars, trolley buses, and a ropeway. Tateyama is one of the few mountains that glacier remains, so you can enjoy a panoramic view of snow-covered Tateyama mountain range.

Toyokawa is located in Aichi near Shizuoka prefecuture. It is famous for Toyokawa inari which is kind of "FOX shrine" If you can go there, I belive you can make your wish come true by the Budda. Besides, you will paint your own fox mask, eat local food, buy some souveniors. I highly recommend you should come here.

Explore a Town of Fermentation and Enjoy Fermented Food!
Japan is one of the countries in the world which boasts the largest variety of fermented food. Especially Aichi Prefecture is known as home of Red Miso and Tamari Soy Sauce. We will go to Taketoyo Town, about 40 minutes train ride from Nagoya, where you can see some traditional brew houses of Miso and Soy Sauce. Their wooden barrels, handed down for generations, are breathing and microorganisms live there. In this tour, you can learn, shop and eat under the theme of fermented food.
Castle - Tower - Shrine tour in Nagoya
This tour includes the following spots, Nagoya Castle, Sakae - Oasis 21, and Atsuta Shrine. We visit two historical sites and modern commercial site. The castle was built about 400 years ago, Sakae is commercial and modernized area in Nagoya city, and then Atsuta shrine which was founded 1900 years ago. So we travel to view ancient style of building, Modern structures and then the building which represents the warring states period like time travel.

“We had an Incredible time with Michiko!”
Michiko was our Guide during our time in Nagoya, and she was great providing us an overview of the history of the city and the places we visited (Nagoya Castle, Osu, etc). We also had an amazing traditional lunch with her and spoke more about Japanese life which is one of the key reasons I enjoy meeting with guides wherever I go. She was great with our kids and gave them tons of snacks for the day. As a local Nagoyan resident, she knows the city well, and even helped us get some train tickets afterwards. Highly recommended if you are in Nagoya.
