Hirosaki City - The Original Castle Keep
Hirosaki has many attractions, such as the thousands of ancient cherry trees, surrounding the castle and is Japan’s biggest apple producer. There are about 50 apple-pie restaurants. Hirosaki grew up around its castle, protected by Shinto Shrines to the north and Buddhism temples to the south-west. Aomori - Mountainous Seaside City
Aomori city is the capital city of the Aomori prefecture with 280,000 population, connecting Tokyo and Aomori by the Shinkansen, or bullet train in 3 hours or 1 hour flight. The city a major trading hub so you can eat the freshest produce, learn about the ancient Jomon people and their rope-patterned pottery, and visit the UNESCO designated word heritage site! Let me show you my beloved hometown!
Visit the fascinating Sannai Maruyama
Discover the fascinating culture of the Jomon people who lived in Japan during the Neolithic (stone age) period. At this important site, we will walk through a reconstructed village to learn about daily life. Later, we'll go through the museum to see original artifacts found at Sannai Maruyama. Aomori 6-Hour Tour with a Private Car(4-passenger vehicle)
“Hirosaki Park and Aomori Showa Buddha and Temple”
Our guide, Mr. Tsushima, was fantastic! He was a very safe driver and he also was a fabulous guide for us all throughout Hirosaki Park and Temple. He then took us to Aomori to the Showa Buddha and Temple -- and toured us throughout the entire complex. He obtained all the entrance tickets for us everywhere we went. He arranged for a tea ceremony for us at the Showa Buddha and Temple. At the end of our tour he helped us search out a ramen restaurant for lunch in Aomori. We highly recommend Mr. Tsushima as a driver and guide in Aomori City and Aomori Prefecture! Also our administrative contact through GoWith Guide was Woo -- and they were very responsive to our communications and helpful!

“Two Amazing Days in Aomori”
We had two days to explore Aomori. We wanted to go to Hirosaki and I contacted Vikki and made arrangements for the tour of Hirosaki for the second day. I mentioned that we were getting into Aomori early in the afternoon on the day before our tour and would she be available for a tour around Aomori. She was willing to meet us the day we arrived and take us to Sannai Maruyama - the Jomon Prehistoric World Heritage Site. What a wonderful site and Vikki was very knowledgeable with the site since she volunteers at the site. she gave us tidbits that most tour guides would not know. When we got back to Aomori, she took us to a shop to get the best Apple Pie in town and gave us a recommendation for a restaurant for dinner that night. The Nepalese/Indian Restaurant was excellent. The next day she picked us up at our hotel and we spent the day in Hirosaki touring the Castle, the Samurai Houses, and going into a textile store. It was absolutely lovely, easy pace/not rushed. We even twisted her arm into joining us for a beer at the local microbrewery when we got back to Aomori. We will tour with Vikki again when we go back to Japan!
