“Five Stars is not Enough”

It is unfortunate that Chiyako cannot be rated higher than 5 stars! The tour of Fukuoka was exceptional and just the right combination of Japanese history and culture. The Tojochi temple tour and the visit to Kushida Shrine was very interesting. We saw the largest Buddha in Japan and visited the meditation room underneath. The Hakata Japanese folk museum was also very interesting. We enjoyed hearing about the floats created by each Fukuoka neighborhood. Hakata Doll painting was also fun and offered a nice break from walking on a pleasant but warm day. Lunch at a local ramen restaurant in the Nishijin section was delicious. A final walk in the Nishijin shopping district was very pleasant- Chiyako helped my wife find some special Japanese towels to take home for her sisters. The tour was just right for two 73 year olds and is one of our favorite memories of Japan. Chiyako gets 10 stars as a tour guide!

Thank very much again for choosing me as your guide. I am delighted to learn that you both enjoyed your time exploring Fukuoka's historic architecture, traditional craft experience, and the vibrant local shopping arcades. It was heartwarming to see you looking after your wife so thoughtfully throughout your tour; you are a truly lovely couple. There is still so much to discover in Fukuoka, and I look forward to welcoming you both back again.

“Great option for sightseeing”

We had a short stay in Fukuoka and wanted to see a lot of places that were otherwise going to more difficult and long to get to by public transportation. Getting a private driver with GoWithGuidr was an excellent option to see the places we wanted to that were far from each other. Tominaga was our driver and was a great guide. He pointed out different areas and activities that were along the way to our destinations, which made us appreciate the area even more. He also walked us around Nanzoin Temple and taught us about the different deities there. Our group was very happy with this service and grateful that Tominaga was our guide and driver.

“First time in Fukuoka with parents”

Tadashi-san was very considerate of my parents age & well being. He met us at our hotel with brochures and very helpful guides for each of us. He is prompt and easy to communicate with. He even developed the pictures he took and gave it to us through the hotel's front desk. My parents really appreciated it! ありがとうございました!
