Chiaki K.
Welcome to Japan! My name is Chiaki. I’m a government licensed guide interpreter, a wife and mother of two grown-up children. I’ve been living in Tokyo for 30 years so I know the area well. If you don’t want to miss popular “must see” places, wish to eat a variety of Japanese popular and delicious food, have particular interest in Japanese theatrical arts, architectures, gardens, tea ceremony and “kawaii” characters, or are tired of tourist spots and like to see the real life of people in Japan, I can help you. My goal is to help you to make your stay in Japan as memorable and fulfilling as possible. If I can serve you to make your special trip more special, it will be my pleasure.

Grant A.
Hello! My name is Grant, and I’ve spent over a decade living and exploring Japan. Originally from Omaha, Nebraska, I first came to Japan as a high school exchange student in Inuyama, a historic castle town in Aichi. My love for Japan began early—sparked by childhood games like Pokémon that were released in Japanese before English. That early curiosity grew into a lifelong passion for Japanese language, culture, and history. I hold an N2 on the Japanese Language Proficiency Test, a degree in Asian Studies from a Tokyo university, and I graduated from the Japan Visual Media Translation Academy. I’ve visited all 47 prefectures and explored a wide range of historical sites, shrines, and castles throughout the country. My background in Japanese history helps me provide context that brings depth and meaning to the places we visit—whether it's understanding a centuries-old temple in Kyoto, the story behind a castle ruin, or uncovering the historical layers of a Tokyo neighborhood. If you’re planning to explore Tokyo, here are some tour options to consider: One day in Tokyo? The Ginza Line Tour offers a great introduction to the city’s highlights. Two days? Pair the East Tokyo Tour and West Tokyo Tour to get a well-rounded experience. Interested in anime? The Anime Tour is flexible and can be tailored to match your specific interests. For those looking to go beyond the city, I also offer day trips to Nikko, Kamakura, and other nearby destinations. While most guests book Tokyo-based tours, I also guide in other regions—especially Kyoto, where I’ve visited every World Heritage Site. I regularly lead tours in Osaka, Nara, Nagoya, Hikone, and other locations easily reached by rail. Multi-day and custom tours are available on request. Full-Day Tour: 40,000 yen (8 hours) Full-Day Tour Outside of Tokyo: 40,000 yen + transportation Feel free to get in touch to plan a tour that fits your interests and travel plans.

Rina K.
Welcome to Osaka! Hi I'm Rina! Osaka is my hometown, and I’m so excited to guide you here! I started tour guiding in July 2025, and since then I’ve welcomed guests from Australia, the U.S., Thailand, Germany, Russia, Switzerland, and more. Each tour has left me with special memories—it’s always a pleasure to hear stories about your country. I also learn a lot from my guests. Some are fascinated by architecture, others love taking photos of food samples, or notice details like manhole designs, women-only train cars, or even the British accent in station announcements. What feels ordinary to me often becomes a fresh discovery for my guests, and those exchanges make every tour truly special. Osaka is full of delicious restaurants—so many that it’s hard to choose! Let’s explore local food together, find the best sunset and night-view spots, and enjoy the city’s charm side by side. Join me to discover Osaka, from its iconic castle to the latest must‑see spots. And if you’d like, we can combine Osaka with day trips to Nara, Kyoto, Kobe, or Shiga to experience even more of Kansai’s beauty. Looking forward to seeing you in Osaka!

After having lived in Tokyo for some decades, now I live in my hometown, Fukui where you can have a great experience of Zen buddhism in the head temple of the Zen sect, Eiheiji which was founded in 1244. Fukui Dinosaur Museum is very popular regardless of age. It is one of the world's three largest dinosaurs. Kazue I.
Hi! I am Kazue. I am from Fukuoka and live in the central city. I spent almost 20 years traveling around the world as a cabin attendant. Meeting different people, different cultures and eating local food were best things in my career. This experience definitely widened my perspective and will help me in some way when I work as a guide. Since I spent half my life outside of Japan, I noticed our culture and traditions are very unique and became more interested in historical sites in Japan. For my personal life, I am a mom of twins. It is still a hard work but I am enjoying a lot with them. We take them around Kyushu whenever possible for their fun and experience. We all love traveling after all. I am looking forward to showing you around our hometown soon!

Issei Y.
Hello everyone! My name is Issei, and I was born and raised in Japan. During my university years, I had the opportunity to study abroad in Canada, where I spent a year living in Vancouver. The experience of studying and living in such a multicultural city was truly eye-opening—it gave me a deep appreciation for different perspectives and the joy of connecting with people from all around the world. The kindness and hospitality I received in Canada inspired me to become a guide who can offer the same warmth to visitors in Japan. As your guide, my goal is not only to show you beautiful sights, but also to create authentic experiences where you can feel Japan—its traditions, its modern life, and its hidden gems. Through my tours, I strive to go beyond ordinary sightseeing. Whether it’s exploring vibrant city streets, tasting local flavors, or experiencing unique cultural traditions, I want to make your journey in Japan truly special and unforgettable. I look forward to welcoming you and sharing the heart of Japan together.

Yasuhisa K.
I have worked in the multi-national organizations including UN agency for around 30 years and stationed at various cities including Rome, Bangkok and Hanoi. Although I have retired from those international carriers, I wish to keep the international cooperation and develop the friendship with people who visits our country. As I like history and am practicing Noh song and wood curving of Buddha images, I have decided to live in Nara where is surrounded by many historical places and traditional cultures, when I returned back to Japan in 2017. I wish to offer you custom made trip ideas to be able to enjoy the atmosphere of old city, Nara. I am also planning to develop trip plans to enjoy the local cultures. Please call me Yasu.

Shuji O.
Hi, I am Shuji, a licensed tour guide living near Kansai International Airport. I taught world history in high schools for four decades. So, I can explain Japanese culture or history in an easier way tailored to you who have different cultural and historical backgrounds. I also practiced Kendo, Japanese fencing, for more than four decades, and now I enjoy growing vegetables and going fishing. Therefore, I can also share some Japanese culture and its nature. I have traveled to more than 25 countries and all over Japan. I’m also passionate about photography and know many photogenic places in Japan. If you prefer to go off the beaten track, I can take you to hidden gems, including some cozy restaurants. Of course, I also know how to enjoy the crowded, most popular tourist sites. I am here to make your trip stress-free. See you soon!

“A full day of sights with Fumi. ”
She was super knowledgeable, very considerate, and incredibly nice to us. We saw so many wonderful sights that we honestly could not take in any more. We were exhausted. But, it was fun, and we learned a lot. It would have taken us two or three days on our own to see what we saw with a Fumi in one day. Thank you Fumi.

“You should be a professional Photographer Asad!”
We recently booked a private tour with Asad through GoWithGuide, and it was absolutely perfect. It was just my wife and me, and Asad made the entire experience smooth, enjoyable, and memorable. He drove us to some truly beautiful locations — The Blue Pond, Mild Seven Hill, The Lonely Christmas Tree, and Ningle Terrace. Each spot was stunning, and Asad made sure we had plenty of time to explore and enjoy the scenery. What we appreciated most was his patience and kindness. He was always ready to help us take photos, and he has an amazing eye for great angles and composition. Thanks to him, we now have so many beautiful shots to remember this trip by. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and we couldn’t have asked for a better guide. Highly recommended!

Thank you so much Helena for leaving such a wonderful review. I know you spent many years planning your trip to Japan and finally came here on your first journey. Being able to guide you on such a special visit truly meant a lot to me. I did my very best to create a tour that you would enjoy, and seeing how deeply moved you were at Fushimi Inari Shrine made me incredibly happy. At Nijo Castle, you asked so many thoughtful questions about history, and I could feel how much you were enjoying every moment of Kyoto. Guiding you was a real pleasure, and seeing you experience Japan with such curiosity and enthusiasm was inspiring.I’m already looking forward to welcoming you back again. Next time, I would love to show you Osaka and many more wonderful places throughout Japan!
