Mein erstes Mal in Deutschland war 2012, als ich Studentin war, und damals habe ich einen Monat in München einen Deutschkurs gemacht. Da habe ich viel erlebt und erfahrt und war total begeistert für die deutsche Kultur, Sitten, einfach alles, natürlich Leute auch :) Nach dem Studium bin ich nach Deutschland (München und Augsburg) geflogen, um richtig Deutsch zu lernen. In den Schulzeiten habe ich viele Erfahrungen in der Gastronomie gesammelt. In Deutschland habe ich als Kellnerin in einem japanischen Restaurant und Japanischlehrerin gearbeitet. Aktuell bin ich auch private Japanischlehrerin (ich habe auch einen Vertrag mit der amerikanischen Marine) und gelegentlich Reiseführerin. Mein Hobbies sind Reisen, Lesen, Kochen, etwas Süßes backen usw. Ich würde Sie sehr gerne Tokyo bzw Yokohama oder Kamakura und Yokosuka zeigen :)

Hello! I’m Koichiro. Please call me “Yamasan”. It derives from my family name and my friends call me so. I worked for a machinery company as a project manager and engineer for mechanical and electrical construction projects both domestic and overseas for over 35 years. I recall my first overseas project in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia when I was 26, and the second was in Singapore. I visited many countries for surveys, meetings, commissioning, project handing over, and so on. In 2014 at the age of 60, I decided to retire from the company and live the expected further 30 years of life with a new career and experiences. I, then, studied translation and guide interpretation. I passed the national examination for licensed guides (English) in 2015 and registered with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government in February 2016. Until now, I have been guiding many beautiful guests mainly to popular sightseeing spots such as Asakusa, Tsukiji, Omote-Sando, Meiji Jingu Shrine, and Tokyo Skytree, and also cultural experiences of Origami making, Furoshiki wrapping, and Sushi cooking. I am happy that I can freely arrange a customized tour together with you, or can propose my tours to you. I want to show you some parts of daily Tokyo life and introduce you to Bunkyo City which is located in the heart of Tokyo, just north of Chiyoda City where the Imperial Palace and Tokyo Station are. The city is Tokyo’s typical residential and academic area where I was born, grew up, and live a happy life now. Now, we can tour around the world but have not yet overcome COVID-19 completely. Recently, the number of passengers wearing masks on public transportation in Tokyo reduced to some 25% but we should mind about it still. Please carry your mask to wear it where or when necessary (December 2024, Yamasan).

After having lived in Tokyo for some decades, now I live in my hometown, Fukui where you can have a great experience of Zen buddhism in the head temple of the Zen sect, Eiheiji which was founded in 1244. Fukui Dinosaur Museum is very popular regardless of age. It is one of the world's three largest dinosaurs. Echizen is also well known for Japan's handmade crafts including kitchen knives, washi paper, lacquer wares, Tansu chests and pottery. Seeing craftsmen's work right in front of you makes you excited and impressed. I have been travelling Kanazawa since my high school age so I know well about the town to show you around as well as Shirakawago, a day trip from Kanazawa. “Amazing tour guide! ”
We truly enjoyed our tour today with Naoto. His English is excellent, and he has an impressive depth of knowledge. Even though the journey was quite long, it felt enjoyable and engaging because Naoto shared so many fascinating stories about Toyama and Japan — from history and geography to local food and fun facts. Our route today included the Shōgawa Gorge Winter Cruise and Shirakawago. We also stopped at a beautiful scenic viewpoint and visited a lovely paper crafts shop, which made the experience even more special. Naoto also took us to a delicious restaurant for Hida beef and katsu, which was absolutely amazing. We’re still thinking about how good it was Highly recommended tour guide!

“Japan walking tour with Kaneo”
Our tour with Kaneo was excellent. He was able to take us around to all the places we wanted to see and was able to explain all the history. Kaneo was very pleasant and professional during the tour and was able to change itinerary around to fit our needs. His English was very good and it was very easy to have a conversation.

“Perfect day in Shimizu ”
Our day with Take was excellent. We started at the pine grove, went to an observation terrace, saw a shrine, a tea plantation and of course Mount Fuji was the star of the show! Our perfect day was topped off with a visit to a tea house where we were able to participate in a traditional tea ceremony. It was a memorable experience for us. We would highly recommend Take for your day in Shimizu.
