In developing a tour for our interests, Yukari advised in advance certain sites closed that day so that we two couples might visit them on our own. Everywhere we went together, walking or by bus - Nagamachi Samaritan District and Nomira-ku House; Museum for Traditional Products and Crafts; Kenroku-en Garden; Higashi Chaya District and Sakuda Gold Leaf - Yukari clearly explained history, context and pointed out details we could not have appreciated without her. The insights she provided definitely added value. Yukari is a lovely person, truly interested in presenting Kanazwa to her guests. She also took us for a delicious Japanese lunch and later for matcha in an historic teahouse. Our tour took longer than anticipated, yet she did not end it at or soon after the appointed time, nor did she hurry. Rather, Yukari stayed with us until she had finished what she wanted to show and teach us. A pleasure and a delight, great pacing throughout, and so educational. We thoroughly enjoyed Yukari, and consider her an exceptional guide.
Hi Linda-san, Thank you very much for your enthusiastic review! I'm so happy to know that you had enjoyed the tour with me. Also I felt happy while you all were intrested in traditional crafts of Kanazawa or Ishikawa at the Museum. Thank you for asking me a lots of good questions so that I was able to introduce more details of things to you. People from Canada always reminds me of my initial resolution. Hope you enjoy the rest of trip in Japan!!
