We booked 2 days in Kyoto w/ Hiro-san, and he was an excellent tour guide. He was flexible and accommodating when our initial itinerary had to change but was able to get us to those sites that were the most important to us. He was on time at the train station and was ready to get us to our first destinations. Our second day was mostly in Arashiyama which included the Hozugawa River Boat Ride. We purchased a voucher for our family of 10 through Klook, but he had the insight to go to the ticket office days before our tour and make a boat reservation. Without this reservation, we would not have been able to take this fun trip down the Hozugawa River due to it being a holiday with the reservations already filled. Though he is in his 70s, he did not slow us down but led us up the steep incline to the monkey park. His English is good, and he explains history, culture, and landmarks. He also had some fun surprises for group pictures. We are thankful for the opportunity to get to know Hiro and wish him and his family well. Thanks, Hiro-san!
Hi Jonathan-san, Wow! Thank you very much for so many compliments. I am glad we were able to complete the tour safely under the fine weather surrounded by your loved ones. The kids` happy smiles were impressive. I am thankful to and amazed at the exquisite skills of Connor-san, who draw my vivid illustration. I will keep it forever. And to your teat to the delicious lunch and the souvenir. I wish you the best of luck for you and your extended families. Finally, let me cite a line from my favorite 1975 U.S. movie, French connection Ⅱ: Detective "Popeye" Doyle: I would rather be a lamp post in New York rather than the president of France." Bye for now. Regards, Hiro

Yoshi takes you to many of the must see sights in Kyoto and explains some of the history behind the location.
Hi Joe. Thank you for your nice comment on my tour, My Favorite Golden Route, in Kyoto. It was pleasant to guide and talk with you and your family. Be sure to get in touch if you have another chance of visiting Kansai district again. Best wishes. Yoshie

We highly recommend Koichi. He is fun and friendly to he with and he is well versed in the history and background of Kyoto. We asked him to guide us through a custom trip in western Kyoto. We started early at 7:30 to beat the crowds, in Arashiyama area visiting shrines all the way back to Kyoto city, wrapping things up in Nishiki market where he invited us to taste a fresh Sake wine.
Hi! Thank you for your wonderful review for me, which I really appreciate. It was a little bit cold day, but I am glad that with your help we were able to visit all the places you requested. I look forward to seeing you again. Hopefully next time you and your wife would be able to join me for a relaxing drink (Sake?) or meal.

Masahisa aka "Mike" was a fantastic guide showing us the best sites in Kyoto and helping us to better understand the history of Kyoto. Not only does he know a great deal about the history, he also captured our day in photos that he shared with us which was really special. He set us up with a great lunch in the middle of the day and went out of his way to ensure we saw everything we wanted. Additionally, he gave us recommendations for other sites to see with the time we had left in Kyoto. I definitely recommend Mike for your guide in Kyoto!
Jena Gland to learn you returned home safely. Thank you for visiting us all the way. I wanted you to enjoy the tranquility / good old days of the ancient capital of Kyoto, but unfortunately all the reservation slots for the scenic site were found this time full. Please come again. Thanks Masahisa
