My wife and I had a very educational and enriching tour of Kyoto with Masahiko. We planned for one full day tour with Masahiko and he created a full schedule for us based on what we wanted to visit. It seemed we were a bit ambitious with our goal of visiting most of the main attractions in Kyoto, as some of the shrines/temples were all the way across town and take anywhere between 20 to 30 minutes to get to. In addition, although we knew that we were going to be walking most of the time, we didn't anticipate that there would be a lot of uphill walking. Masahiko informed me that most of his clients book at least two days to see Kyoto so they wouldn't get exhausted and have more time to enjoy the beautiful shrines and temples. After we visited Fushimi-Inari Taisha Shrine, Kiyomizu-dera Temple, Kyoto Imperial Palace and Gion, we opted to skip out on visiting Kinkaku-ji (Golden Pavilion) and went to Arashiyama to visit the bamboo forest. Masahiko was very flexible and re-rearranged our schedule to accommodate us. Masahiko took the time to educate us on the various rituals and traditions at each of the locations we visited. His English is excellent and he interpreted signs for us during our travels. He was very responsive to my questions before I booked him. He communicated very clearly and offered a very reasonable price considering all of the places we wanted to visit. Masahiko even picked us up at our hotel in Osaka to assist us in taking the train to Kyoto, which made us feel more comfortable. He's very personable and reliable and I would highly recommend Masahiko if you are planning to do a tour of Kyoto.
Dear Jonathan, Thank you for your detailed comment. I am very happy to know that you really enjoyed staying with me. There are still more places that I would like to show you in Kyoto and Osaka. I hope to see you again someday! Masahiko
