My first surprise was his detailed schedule for my request (one day Kyoto, one day Nara and one day Himeji). The program was even detailed for the minute (seriously!), which precision is - as he later explained - coming from his past as a civil engineer. However whenever we requested some change on the way, he was helpful, flexible and kind. Regarding the visits to the shrines, temples and other sites, he was well prepared, ready to answer to our - sometimes only tangentially related - questions. We enjoyed every moment with him, learned much more than history of the sites - present customs, everyday life in Japan, etc. Along our way he found the time to offer us restaurants (even making reservation), helped to successfully reclaim the mobile phone left on Hikari shinkasen, helped to choose a place for tee ceremony, offered us a cutlery shop for nice Japanese knives and so on. That's what I call a perfect service from the prefect guide. Thank you Hiro! I hope we will meet you one day again and wish you many pleasant guiding!
Dear Peter, I appreciate your very detailed and rave review on the tour with me. I had felt relieved to know that your left iPhone on the Shinkansen was restored next day of the tour. I have enjoyed cross cultural talking with you through the three day tour with you. Japan has abundant beautiful spots and unique culture. I look forward to seeing you again in the near future. Please give my best regards to Zoltan, Joseph and Ferenc. Best regards, Hiroyuki
