Hi everyone! Hearty welcome to Japan. I’m Tomoko. I am an English-speaking licensed tour guide, and a registered nurse as well. “Fun Discovering Experience Walking like a Local!” – F-D-E-W-L! That’s what I suggest. 【Experiences】 My work history is as follows. 1) high school teacher ---12 years 2) nurse--8 years + 2 years as operational manager for Kamakura city vaccination team (during COVID period) 3) tourism related jobs such as tour conducting, guiding, and backyard supporting---10 years As a tour conductor, I’ve visited about 20 foreign countries (possibly yours?) as well as countless number of towns and villages in Japan. I’ve enjoyed these jobs while being a mother. Through these experiences with lots of people from different backgrounds, I've found it a great pleasure to share the joy of learning and experiencing something new! 【Guiding Areas】 <Basic> Tokyo, Kamakura, Hakone, Fuji, Yokohama, Nikko, and other neighboring areas from Tokyo I’m a specialist in Tokyo and Kamakura as I have lived and enjoyed walking a lot in those cities for decades. To be honest, even after all my years here, I still enjoy exploring like a tourist as Tokyo is such an enormous city with great diversity and is constantly changing. Kamakura is a historical small city with nice beaches and hills and lots of hidden spots of beauty. Almost every time I go out, I feel I’m still making new discoveries. That’s why I cannot stop exploring. I would take you to some neighboring areas like Hakone, Yokohama, Nikko, and Mt. Fuji area (Lake Kawaguchiko), etc. <Based on Requests > *if my transportation & accommodation are covered Nagoya, Kyoto, Nagano(Nagano city, Snow Monkey park, Kisoji trail, etc.), Hida (Takayama, Shirakawa-go), Kanazawa, Oita, Yamagata, Akita, etc. My original family is from Nagoya, so I know their culture and even their language(dialect) well. Later in my life, I have lived in Oita, Kyushu(far south west of Tokyo) for nearly 10 years and traveled a lot in Kyushu. I love traveling Tohoku, the northern Japan area, too. I’ve planned and enjoyed visiting many of those local areas in the north, too. So, I could share those experiences with you even while having tours in Tokyo or online. 【Personality and others】 - I love meeting people, listening and talking to them. - I'm friendly and caring, I hope:) - I love nature and enjoy hiking and skiing. - I love seasonal flowers and good local food. - You will see a lot about Japanese culture, nature, and lifestyle with me. What has made you decide to come to Japan, by the way? Is it its scenic beauties, exotic culture, history, food, anime, or what else? Is it your business that has brought (or will bring) you here? Let me have a clue and customize your tour. I will make the best tour suggestion for you. Why don’t you contact me now? I’m looking forward to seeing you soon! Thank you! Arigato-gozaimas!

Kon-ni-chi-wa. Hello! I'm Kaori, having lived in Tokyo for more than 20 years since I got married with a photographer who lives here. I'm originally from Shizuoka prefecture which has Mt.Fuji, the highest mountain in Japan. I took 2 working-holiday-visa stays in my younger days. One is in Toronto, Canada, and another is Australia touring by motorcycle. One year respectively. I love travel both international and domestic, especially by motorcycle. That's why I love helping individual travelers rather than normal package tours, cause I myself love travel freely. I love nature, gardens, trekking, greenery, cycling and motorcycle. I love to take you to the off-the-beaten tracks where I love in Tokyo. As a national government licensed guide, I've got deep knowledge of Japanese culture and history. I really enjoy talking about Japanese way of life with people from different cultures. But I'm so flexible that I don't bother if you're not so interested in. We see what you like and talk what you are interested in. That's my style. If you don't know what to want, I can help you with that. I'm outgoing, ( but organized pretty well!), very easy to get along with anybody, including small kids to teenagers. Can't wait to see you soon!

Hello, My name is Katsunori, a national licensed guide in English. Just call me “Fuji-san”, the same as Mt. Fuji-san. I worked and lived abroad more than 15 years mainly in the United States, Australia, Abu Dhabi, China and Malaysia. During those days, I communicated many local peoples and felt a lot of different cultures and thinking ways. I was interested in this multi culture circumstance. I also visited many places, some of them were on business purpose, and the others were as private travels. Visiting new places always gave me new discoveries and deep impressions, and I really like these feelings. I would like the visitors to Japan to feel such impressions, and I would like to assist them – this is the primary motivation for me to be a tour guide. One of my hobbies is trekking. One of the travels that made an impression on me was a mountain trekking at Nepal. I trekked 4 days through the hills over 3000m in Himalaya with mountain guide. Another nice experience was the trekking of Jungle in Sarawak island in Malaysia. The guides explained the natures such as plants, flowers, butterfly and insects of those areas in addition to the trails in both cases, and I really recognized the importance of the guiding. If the guides were not suitable, my memories on the travels might not be so nice. Japan is really beautiful country. It has seasonal beauty according to the four clear cut seasons. The natures with historical buildings are beyond description. I really hope you, visitors, receive great impressions during your stay in Japan. I can arrange any kind of tours – from half day city tour to mountain trekking. I will customize special tours for you with proper recommendations. I am looking forward to hearing from you!!

Friendly drivers & enjoyable road trip

Booked 2 tours (Mount Fuji + Nikko) with 2 drivers. Prefer Mr Zhen (甄)as he's more jovial. Good explanation and shared with us his experience as a local Japanese. Will join his tour again.

An amazing tour with a great guide

We had a full day tour of Nikko with Hiroshi. He met us at our Tokyo hotel and helped us travel on the subway to our express train from Tokyo to Nikko. Nikko was an amazing place to visit and made more special by Hiroshi’s knowledge explaining all of the details of the places we were visiting. We plan to book another tour with Hiroshi on our next trip to Japan.

Thank you for your review of the tour to Nikko. I also had a great time with you. Nikko is a small town but the sacred place of Buddhism and Shinto. We could feel the atmosphere of both Buddhism and Shinto. Nikko is also famous for its beautiful nature, especially beautiful red and yellow leaves in autumn. I look forward to seeing you again in the beautiful season in Japan!

Great Tour with a caring Guide, Hiroshi!

Hiroshi was punctual, caring and knowledgeable about Nikko's shrines and temple. Hiroshi met us at our hotel, helped us navigate the train system and explained to us the history of Nikko during the Edo Period. We saw the "Sleeping Cat" and the "Three Monkeys" carvings. Excellent way to start our trip in Japan. Thank you Hiroshi!!

Thank you for the review. I am happy to hear you enjoyed the tour to Nikko even though it rained a bit. We saw the Yomeimon Gate with many beautiful carvings, climbed 207 steps up to the grave of Tokugawa Ieyasu, and heard the roar of the dragon at Toshogu Shrine! We also visited Shinkyo the sacred bridge, Rinnoji Temple, Taiyuin Mausoleum, Futarasan Shrine, etc. I hope that our trip to Nikko will become a good memory of your trip to Japan! Thank you. Hiroshi
