“ Yasu was the Ultimate Guide for Ultimate Oita Adventure!!! Kuju Mountain Hiking, Hells of Beppu, Kunisaki Peninsula, and more!”

Yasu is the best tour guide I have ever had! I highly recommend booking tours with him, especially for customized adventures like I did for my visit He is very knowledgeable on the entire Kyushu region and planned action packed fun days for my entire visit. There are too many wonderful things to say about Yasu and the experience touring together, so I will do my best to give some of the highlights. We hiked to the peak of Mount Nakadake in the Kuju Mountain range which was quite a challenging trek. Yasu was there by my side encouraging me along the way until we reached the peak! It was a magnificent view with beautiful volcanic rock formations and lakes. He went above and beyond to welcome me to the region, and even suprised me with visting a Samuri castle, and taking me to hidden local places that I would have never found on my own (like an amazing Yakitori place in a back alley in Beppu up a secret set of stairs) We also visited the ancient Kunisaki Penninsula where we saw ancient wonders of the world includin the Kumano Magaibutsu stone Buddha's from the 9th Century and the ancent Stone Guardians from the Futagoji Temple in the 8th Century. This was a magical place! If you are visting Kyushu, Yasu is the #1 guide in the region! You must book with him. Although my tour was Oita, he is a knowledgeable guide for other regions of the incredible Kyushu Island (Fukuoka, Saga, Nagasaki, Kumamoto Miyazaki, Kagoshima prefecture) I now consider Yasu, not just a guide, but also a friend! I look forward to touring with him again on my next adventure to Japan!

“Hells' and Monkeys”

Hitomi was the perfect choice for a private tour guide. Fluent in English and with a bubbling personality. Very knowledgeable of Beppu 7 Hells and Monkey mountain (she also had notes to double check). Too bad she was booked solid for the dates I wanted or I would have hired her for the Nagasaki and Fukuoka private tours.
