Prior to the trip, we had many email exchanges with Hideo. He answered all of our questions quickly and thoroughly. Since we were coming from Kyoto, we met at the Shin-Osaka train station and started our day. The first stop was Osaka Castle. We enjoyed the structural features Hideo pointed out, and he showed us several pictures of the castle in spring when cherry blossoms are blooming. He showed us the best spot to have our pictures taken and patiently explained the historical backgrounds of the castle. The trip to Dotonbori was fun, and Hideo reserved a restaurant where we enjoyed okonomiyaki. He helped us ordered the right amount of food for the five of us, and it was absolutely delicious. Hideo took his time for us to visit the Umeda Sky Building and patiently pointed out the important landmarks when we were on the top floor. Although our tour was supposed to end at least 30 minutes ago, he made sure that we see the fun waterfalls at the Osaka station. Hideo spoke good English and knew a lot about the city of Osaka. I highly recommend him!
