We start the tour.

Shinjuku station of Odakyu Railway

We take a Odakyu Romacecar, comfortable reserved-seat.

You can enjoy watching Japanese local area on the way to Hakone Yumoto.

Hakone Yumoto station

Arrive at Hakone Yumoto staion (a door to Hakone sightseeing), and soon change the trains to Hakone mountain-train which is famous for the "switch-back operation system".

It's the system that the trains have been climbing the mountain by changing directions and going in a zig-zag fashion on the rail.

Gohra station

Get off at Gohra staion to ride a Cable car to Sounnzan.

Sohunzan station

Arrive at Sounzan station, and we take an exciting aerial-ropeway to Owakudani Valley (death valley) station.

Owakudani Valley station

At Owakudani, a real volcanic activily can be seen at this valley, called "Death Valle " or "Hell Valley".

We enjoy walking around this interesting area for a while including lunch time.

*Breathtaking panoramic view of Mt. Fuji spreads in front of you. (on clear days) It's really ausome!

"Black Egg", a speciality of Owakudani valley is also recommended.

They say if you eat one black egg, your life expectancy will increae by 7 yearas.

Let's try to eat !

You can enjoy shopping at the souvenir shops.

Leave Owakudani valley by areal-ropeway to Tougendai

Tougendai Port

We get off areal ropeway at Tougendai sation, and

we take on the "Pirates Ship" and enjoy the Lake Ashi Cruisng for about one hour.

Moto-Hakone Port

We take a mountain bus at Moto Hakone and return to Hakone Yumoto station.

Hakone Yumoto Odakyuu train station

We take a "Romance Car " bound for Shinjuku.

Shinjuku stationof Odakyu rail way.

Finish the tour at your hotel

From Shinjuku station, I escort you to your hotel and finish the tour.

** Hot Spring (ONSEN) Experience:

A guide reserves the use of hot spring, then you'll pay the cost at the check-in desk on the day.

Hakone is famous for its Hot Spring.

Don't you think it's so gorgeous to experience a real hot-spring bath in Hakone by day-return?

You'll be really refreshed in a Japanese traditional Onsen bath.

We arrive at Hakone Yumoto Sation at around 15:30 after the tour.

At station, I help to reserve the departure-time and seat for return Romance Car bound for Shinjuku.

I gives you detailed information how to return to your hotel by yourselves.

Then, I go with you to the Onsen facility (very popular hot spring facility among foreiners) by free shuttle-bus.

It takes only several minutes by free shuttle-bus service to/from Hakone Yumoto staion.

I help to check-in, explain how to take the hot spring (in Japanese way), what you need to bring with you etc.

There's a big shared hot spring bath and also very nice private rooms with hot spring bath only for your groupor a family.

You can choose the type of the room.

At the same site, you can enjoy delicious food at the nice restaurant and massage service as well.

***** Tattoo/Hot spring.... One hot spring facility in Hakone accepts a person with tattoo (but one peron in a group).

Tour Important Information

** We visit Hakone by Odakyu Romancecar using "Hakone Free Pass".

* *If you have Japan Pass, we use a Bullet Train from Tokyo (or Shinagawa) to Odawara instead of a Romance-car.

** The possibility of Mt. Fuji viewing depends on the weather condition and the seasons. (High percentage in Autumn and Winter)

** Tattoo/Hot spring.... One hot spring facility in Hakone accepts a person with tattoo (but one peron in a group).

Please feel free to ask me a detail before booking.

You may not be able to see Mt. Fuji according to the weather condition. The aerial rope-way is sometimes suspended its operation due to the strong wind etc.

“Great time in Tokyo”

We spent 2 1/2 days with Shizuko walking and taking the subway all over Tokyo. We saw a couple of Cherry Blossom flowers since this year we were just a couple of days early. There was not a place in Tokyo we missed. While our first day was rainy, we still got to see many sites. We learned how to use the Suica card to get around and how to navigate the subway system. Even though we took many subways to get to the destination, we will managed to put on over 10,000 steps a day. She even printed out detailed instructions for our driver to get us to an infrequently used cruise terminal in Yokohama. Everything was customized to our needs. Just a fabulous 2 1/2 days even with the bad weather and lots of tourists trying to eat lunch at the same time. I highly recommend Shizuko if you need a guide in Toyko.

At the first day of the tour, we’ve been to many must-see spots in Tokyo in a heavy rain and strong wind. And the second day, (it was nice weather) we’ve been to Imperial Palace and the East Garden, we walked a lot and had a late lunch and visited the Ueno Park. And the third day, we visited two famous cherry blossom viewing spots, but cherry blossoms hadn’t bloomed yet, though how much I wanted you see them. Today in Tokyo, it’s getting warmer and cherry trees are finally blooming beautifully. I hope you have already enjoyed the cherry blossoms in full bloom somewhere in Japan. “Great Guide”

Shizuko was an amazing guide she tended to our needs with my mother who needs extra help when walking long distances. She was prepared in every way and very organized we truly appreciated having her as our guide she explain to us the train system and how to get to where we needed to without her. This was a great experience for my family and I having Shizuko as our guide she made Japan feel very welcoming for us .

Dear Amanda, Thank you very much for your great review. I really happy to receive it. Because the last day in Shibuya, it was raining and all of you had many shopping bags full of souvenirs. (Thank you for sending me a photo you took it at Shibuya, I can see many souvenir bags you have.) They must be really heavy to carry all the time. And I wondered how was your husband’s mother. I hope she was fine. How was the taste of Kobe Beef? etc. The transportation network in Tokyo is complicate, but it’s systematic. So, once you know it, you can try to go around Tokyo by yourselves. I believe that you’ve been to Akihabara, Tsukiji and Asakusa again by yourselves. Amanda, you are so sweet person to take care of your family very well.
