Miyajima island itself has a sacred atmosphere which used to be secluded places for the ascetic training of Buddhist priests in old days.
When you are crossing by ferry, the grand vermilion shrine gate soon come into view. The shrine is built over the water. When the tide is high, it looks as if the shrine were floating. The shrine is also a brilliant vermilion and it creates a sharp contrast against the wooded hills in the background and the blue sky above. Miyajima Island (535meter altitude) has been considered as the object of religious faith from ancient time. Mt.Misen vewing from a ferry has several ridges and valleys and have people felt holy and the shape of lying posture of Buddha.

This elegant palace style architecture standing in perfect harmony with its natural surroundings including such as lush greenery and autumn foliage were registered as the UNESCO WorldCultual Heritage in 1996.
In this Omotesando area, you can purchase various kinds of souvenirs and the most local consumed foods such as Oyster and Okonomiyaki (a thin flat cake of unsweetened batter fried with various ingredients).
In Hiroshima memorial Park at the epicenter of the explosion, you can find war memorial museum and the Atomic Bomb Dome.
This museum features a wide variety of exhibits such as belongings left by victims and photos that portray nuclear holocaust. “Fantastic launch pad for further exploring. ”
Kashima’s tour gave us a wonderful overview of the highlights we wanted to see. He got us into a superb Yakatori restaurant that we would never dare enter on our own. Not only is he a master at navigating the labyrinth of Toyo’s subways and trains but his knowledge of Japanese Cuisine and photography skills are unreal. Throughly enjoyed ourselves.

(68 reviews)Joe san, Thank you very much for your upmost review to me. It was very much pleasure for me that you requested me to arrange to learn the actual butchering process and watching the process of making beef to sell for general market at the school of butchery in Gunma prefecture. We could hear and watch the information in detail by the school top person. I am impressed that You and your family are so much professional to ask any questions and learned a lot. I am very much pleased that you could get important information from the school. Also, we visited Kato farm in Saitama prefecture who grows his own feed for the cattle and has won over 100 awards for their beef. We could see free range cows and goats and enjoyed tasting various foods by cow milking. I hope that you and your family continue to enjoy your nice business. Thanks, Kashima
