“Kazumi was great”
What can we say? Kazumi was and is wonderful. As she spent several years in London, Peckham to be precise, she is fluent in English and totally aware of the idiosyncrasies of ex-Poms plus one Aussie. She was very knowledgeable with regard to the dark history of Hiroshima and Japan generally. To end the tour, we had a totally Japanese lunch in a noodle restaurant. Five stars all round.
“Kazumi is an outstanding thoughtful guide ”
Kazumi took my husband, our cousin and myself through Peace Park, the Atomic bomb dome and museum. As she was born and grew up in the area she spoke with great knowledge. She interspersed the history with personal stories she had gathered from the people she had met that had been affected and forever changed by the bombing of Hiroshima. It was a deeply moving experience and Kazumi gave us time to reflect on what we had seen and answered our many questions. She also explained some of the cultural nuances we had seen on our trip which was incredibly insightful. She then took us to a delicious Okonomiyaki restaurant for lunch. I highly recommend Kazumi as a guide. She’s wonderful!
