In this tour, you can experience unique 'Fukuro (Owl) Cafe' near Morioka Station. You can touch various kinds of owls and other birds, hedgehogs or other small animals in Owl Cafe Ricky. You will also visit renowned folk crafts shop Kogensha, which is related to children's story writer Kenji Miyazawa and old samurai house where the famous poet Takuboku Ishikawa lived when he was newly-weds.

1. Kogensha folk craft shop. At Kogensha, you can see Iwate's typical folk crafts like Nambu iron wear, lacquer wares or baskets, etc.

2. Takuboku Shinkon (Newly-weds) no Ie. Samurai House where tanka poet Takuboku Ishikawa lived after getting married.

3. Fukurou Cafe Ricky. You can touch and play with owls, hawks, hedgehogs or other small animals or birds.

Tour Important Information

Transportation and entrance fees of customers and a guide should be paid by customers.

All the location are so close that you can visit all on foot. However, if you don't want to walk or have a problem of walking, you can also use public transportation (bus) or taxi.

There is a round trip bus called Dendenmushi running in Morioka city. You can go from a bus stop to another by 100 yen. Taxi fees of between each location would be 600-less than 1000 yen.

Lunch or dinner time is not included in this tour. If you want to eat lunch around Morioka Station, I can recommend some restaurants to you depending on your request.
