Jochi-ji: Ranked 4th among Kamakura's 5 great Zen temples

The approach to the temple is covered with beautiful green mosses. Three Buddhas are enshrined in a main hall. The temple site is a national historic site.

We will see a statue of Hotei, God of Happiness, one of the Seven Lucky Gods. It is said, " Rub his belly and get energy and happiness". I will do it for you.

Takayasu was an excellent guide! His explanations were clear we, enjoyed the historical information he presented. He adjusted the day at our request, because of rain and our need to be at the airport for our return home. He made sure our bags were taken care of appropriately, walking us in to the counter .
