Visit Takachiho from Fukuoka -Homeland of the Japanese myth-
Good getaway from city! Takachiho is located in the northwest of Miyazaki. Although it takes more than 3.5 hours to get there from Fukuoka, it is worth visiting to see those beautiful sceneries. Takachiho has been known since ancient times as a sacred ground where the gods descended to earth. Let's visit some spiritual spots and feel the energy!
Meeting Point

Amanoiwato shrine
This shrine venerates the nearby site of the Amanoiwato "holy rock cave" where, according to Japan's oldest chronicles, the sun goddess Amaterasu hid herself when she was angered by the violence of her brother.
Amanoyasukawara (big cave)
This cave is known as a place where 8 millions gods and goddesses gathered to have an important meeting. Feel the spiritual atmosphere.
Takachiho shrine
This is the most important Shinto shrine in the area.
Takachiho gorge
The gorge was designated as National Scenic and Natural Monument for its spectacular view.
Kunimigaoka (observation deck)
Enjoy the view of Takachiho. When it is clear, you can also see Mt.Aso in Kumamoto pref.

Limited express bus to Takachiho for you and guide *since the reservation is required for the bus, I will make this reservation for all of us and pay in advance, you can pay me back on the tour day.
Fukuoka city to Takachiho by bus 8200yen per person(round trip)
Taxi fee in Takachiho approx. 25,000yen (maximum of 3 people) If you are more than 3 people, you will need to hire a jumbo taxi. *Please confirm the price before making your reservation.
Your lunch approx.1000 to 2000yen
Tour Important Information
It is very important to be present at Tenjin or Hakata bus terminal station on time (deperture time is 8:25am at Hakata and 8:05am at Tenjin bus terminal)
Come with comfortable shoes.
They sometimes close the route to Amanoyasukawara due to the heavy rain, and in that case we cannot visit the cave.

“Wonderful day in Beppu! ”
We had an amazing day out with Hitomi! Despite the rainy weather, we had a fantastic time exploring the different Hells. Hitomi took us to some truly fascinating sights, and the unique lunch experience of steaming our own food was unforgettable. The sand bath was a one-of-a-kind experience, and the onsen was incredibly relaxing. Overall, it was a memorable and enjoyable day, thanks to Hitomi's guidance and expertise. Additionally, our driver was kind enough to make a stop at a beautiful location where we could capture some stunning pictures of the blooming cherry blossoms. It was a thoughtful gesture that added to the overall enjoyment of the day and allowed us to create lasting memories of our time spent exploring with Hitomi. Highly recommended!

“Hitomi is awesome”
What a great day with Hitomi and the driver she hired. Visited all the sites promised and more. Our driver got involved and was a hoot. Our group of 6 had a fabulous day. Hitomi is very knowledgeable and caring. You’ll love her.
