Lake Kawaguchi is the most popular place to view Mt. Fuji. I will take you to Arakurayama Park, which is the most popular place to take the picture of Mt. Fuji with the Pagoda. We will take a direct express train from Shinjuku in Tokyo to Lake Kawaguchi to avoid the traffic jam by a highway bus. The place is now overcrowded with foreign visitors so I will choose places not so busy yet. In case of unfavorable weather to view the mountain, I will propose other places.

The possibility of viewing Mt Fuji depends on the season. The chance will be about 80% during winter, but less than 20% in summer time. Please take a look at the graph at the last page of the pictures of this tour. In case we can not see Mt.Fuji at all, we will visit other interesting places near the lake such as museums of Kimono and ice caves in Aokigahara forest.
If you book any of my tours on the other days, I can switch the date with one of them so that you have better chance to view Mt.Fuji.
The highway buses are sometimes fully booked so please book the tour one week before so that I can book your seats.
If the bus is not available, we have to use trains.
- The tour guide is not available on Monday.

We have to use a taxi to visit Oshino Hakkai and Arakurayama if you choose these options.

“Unagi in Asakusa”
Yuki was great! He speaks English well, knew his way around, and coordinated a nice day for us. We booked a tour with him for our first day in Tokyo - we visited the Tokyo Sky Tree, Asakusa, and the Outer Market. My husband was eager to try unagi during our visit and Yuki went out of his way to find a restaurant where it was being served. The tour was a fantastic introduction to Tokyo, as well as its subway system. Thank you, Yuki!

(350 reviews)Dear Annie, Thank you for your review. There are shops serving eel in Tsukiji, but they were closed on Sunday. So we tried to find a good place in Asakusa. Although my favorite restaurant was not available when we arrive there after 2PM. We were lucky to find one who serves grilled eel over steamed rice for your husband. Thank you for taking my tour. Yuki
