Experience Serene Atmosphere of Ancient Capital of Nara
Nara was an acient capital of Japan and still retains serene atmosphere in Nara Park. There are three famous historic sites in Nara city including Todaiji Temple, Kofukuji Temple and Kasuga-taisha Shrine. Those spots are located in Nara Park. Some buildings are original and some were repeatedly reconstructed after devastation caused by fire in the civil war. I will show you not only the popular spot but also hidden things unwritten in the guide books in terms of historical facts.

Kofukuji Temple:Three storied Pagoda,South Octagonal Hall,Five storied Pagoda
Kofukuji Temple was originally built by Fujiharano Fuhito in 710 for his family temple. This temple is famous for Five Storied Pagoda, East Golden Hall, Three Storied Pagoda and South Octagonal Hall. The guide will introduce stories behind the scene.
After viewing Kofukuji Temple, you will walk to Todaiji Temple.
Todaiji Temple: Nandaimon Gate,Great Buddha Hall,Great Buddha Statue,Belfry,Nigatsu-do Hall,Tamukeyama-Hachiman Shrine
Todaiji Temple was originally built by Emperor Shomu in 752. It is famous for Nandaimon (South Great Gate), Great Buddha Hall and Great Buddha Statue. The Great Buddha Hall is believed to be the largest wooden structure in the world although the width of the building is two third of the original one. The guide will introduce the reason of the construction of the Great Statue of Buddha.
Kasuga-taisha Shrine:Main Sanctuary,Wakamiya Shrine,Meoto-Daikokusha Shrine
Kasuga Taisha Shrine was originally built by Fujiharano Nagate for his family shrine in 768. This shrine is the reason of so many deer in Nara Park since ancient time. It is famous for two thousand of Stone Lanterns and one thousand of Hanging Copper Lanterns. You can experience the room of lit up hanging copper lanterns in Fujinaminoya.
Nara-machi Town
After viewing Kasuga Taisha Shrine, you will proceed to Naramachi Town where you may enjoy walking through old Machiya town and experience sake tasting at Harushika Sake Brewery.

If we could give 10 stars we would do that for HIRO. We had such a wonderful day in Nara with him and saw the most incredible sites. He was so enthusiastic and was so knowledgeable everywhere we went. We also stopped for a wonderful lunch and got to rest for a while and then continued our eight hour tour.
