To compare with kyoto, scale of Nara is much smaller and period of capital was almost one tenth.But Nara is older than Kyoto.So you can feel ancient culture of Japan in very small limited space very efficietly.
Meeting Point
At your hotel in Osaka or Kyoto
After we take off the train at local staion we first visit Kofukuji temple.The temple built by famous aristocrat family,Fujiwara is famous for five stories Pagoda which is 2nd highest in Japan after that in Toji temple in Kyoto.
Then we are moving Todaiji temple where you can see Great Buddha,symbol of Nara and the Great Buddha hall,the largest wooden archtecture in the world.
Next visit is Kasuga Shrine which was also found by Fujiwara family to worship dieties to expect their guards.
Finally we are going to Nara Machi(literally translated to Nara Old Town).There are many so well-preserved Machiya,traditional japanese style house.
