Meeting Point

Nara sation (JR or Kintetsu) , at your hotel near the Nara station.

Nara Park : On the way to Todaiji Temple you can meet more than one thousand of the semi-wild deer in Nara park.

Japanese Garden, ISUIEN : Upon request and time permitting, we may visit the beautiful Japanese Garden.

Todaiji temple: we can admire the wooden main gate and statues which survived for more than 800 years and the 18-meter-high Buddha statue.

Kasuga Grand Shinto Shrine : Brightly colored buildings and numerous stone and hanging lanterns will enchant you. Experience the unique way of praying to Shinto deities. Upon request we can visit the main sanctuary.

The five storied pagoda : The second highest one with 50-meter-high. This wooden structure has been standing for more than 590 years after reconstruction.

Harushika Sake Brewery：Sake tasting is possible for 5 different types of Sake with JPY500.

Kyokan Sake Retail shop: More than 10 different Sake or plum wine of tasting is possible with a cup for JPY100-JPY300.

Nara-Izumi-Yusai: Standing Sake tasting Bar. More than 30 Sake breweries' products ,ca.120 different type of Sake are available with a cup for JPY150-JPY300.

Hoshuku : Standing Sake Bar,owned by Sake Brewery. Fresh and good Sake directly delivered by its factory and small snacks are prepared for going well with their Sake.

We make a tour by walk from the meeting point. In case pick you up at your hotel, if your hotel would be far from the station , transportation cost(you and guide) is requested.

Tour Important Information

Nara area is the first place of capital of Japan and of culture originated.

Before removing to Kyoto on the end of the 8th Century, Nara has been flourished .

Deer in Nara park is the semi-wild and it may possible to harm a person.

Admission fee is necessary to enter some places of temples and shrines.(each places: roughly JPY600)

In princple, tasting Sake is not free but charged.

All tour is by walk and suitable wear with shoes is necessary.

The tour spots and attractions may be omitted due to a time pressure , which kindly ask you to understand in advance.

“Nara and Ikaruga”

Takatoshi made our trip very memorable! He was kind, patient and knowledgeable. His itinerary was great and we ended the tour trying Japanese tapas style dishes pairing with Sake. I highly recommend him! Thank you very much Takatoshi! :-)

Thank you very much for your kind review. I have also enjoyed the tour with both of you visiting places and having sake at that time. As mentioned, Nara has several cities and places to where you have to visit like Asuka etc. as for the foundation area of Japan. You are always welcome and looking forward to visiting again in Nara.

“Fabulous Kyoto Tour”

Takatoshi is a wonderful guide! He is knowledgeable, thoughtful, and so ready to share his love for his country and culture. We spent the day touring many sites in Kyoto and learned so much. We toured beautiful gardens and mastered the subway system. He’s totally fluent in English and our day was an enjoyable learning experience. We highly recommend him!

“Very great guide for discovering a bit of Japan ”

We spent one day of visit in Kyoto with Takatoshi. He knows a lot about history and the different tips along the road. We had a great English discussion about any topics. We do recommend Takatoshi who also walked with us to a really nice Sake local place. Hope to see you again in Japan
