A day trip to Traditional shrine from Shimizu port
This tour for the cruise passengers anchored in Shimizu port and other tourists.
We will visit Shizuoka Sengen Jinja shrine which has three different shrines enshrining each different deities.
And visit Sumpu Castle Park which has Higashigomon Gate, Tatsumi Yagura Fort Tower, and Momijiyama Garden.
By using public transportation.

Shizuoka Sengen Jinja shrine
visit Shizuoka Sengen Jinja shrine by public transport (bus and train), there are quite beautiful traditional buildings here.
Sumpu Castle Park
Visit Sumpu Castle Park by walking from the Sengen Jinja shrine through the Sengen shopping street.
optional: visit the 21st floor observation lobby at shizuoka prefectural office
climb up to the observation lobby to view Mt.Fuji if it's clear.
LUNCH: at Oden restaurant in the park or near here

Higashigomon & Momijiyama teien garden closed every Mon. / optional observation floor every 3rd Sat.& Sun.,Dec.29~ Jan.3 closed.

“What a great day in Shimizu”
If you are on a cruise ship that stops in Shimizu don’t hesitate to book a tour with Yasuko. Communication was excellent before and during the tour. The info we were given during the day was very informative and not too much. During the day Yasuka let us know if we were ahead of schedule or if we were behind schedule and managed our time perfectly with adjustments where necessary. If we ever get back here I know who I will be booking for another tour. Thank you Yasuko for making our day special.
