“Day out with Junichi”
It took Junichi 1 hour and 40 minutes to reach our first destination using a variety of trains. We were thoroughly fed up by this time. It would have been so much more simple and time effective to use taxis. He insisted on walking in ahead of the group and was not interested in engaging with us. It was like he was doing his daily walk with us endeavouring to keep up with him. He was asked several times to slow down This was by far our worst Go With Guide experience
“Neighborhoods of Tokyo”
We had a lovely day with Junichi. We wanted to explore a few neighborhoods with some special stops of interest to our family. He was efficient with our time, especially helpful using the subway, and shared history and fun facts about the neighborhoods. We enjoyed our time and are grateful for Junichi’s hospitality.
“Nice Person but Limited”
Junichi is a very nice person and we liked him a lot. He was excellent with navigating the complicated subway and train systems and getting us to our destinations. But he is not a particularly communicative person and did not provide much information about what we were seeing and doing. He's a bit up in years so perhaps that was part of the issue, but I think moreso it's just that he's not a talkative, communicative person. He offered a little info here and there but really his style is more to just bring you to where you want to go and that is usually about it. Don't get me wrong - he's a very nice guy and we like him, but just know you're not going to get much info from him during the day.
