Hanami or Cherry - Blossom Viewing Picnic
During cherry-blossom season , Japanese people enjoy eating and drinking under cherry blossoms appreciating seasonal grace .
Why don't you give it a try yourself ?
We'll meet JR Kokubunji station .
Then take a small walk to the lunch site nearby park .
On the way , we go along a brook-side path with rural atmosphere such as a tiny shrine in a pond , a local produce shop , a clear spring and so on .
It's less than thirty-minute walk , but is enjoyable .
After a nice walk , it's picnic time . I'll fix the boxed lunch ( I'm a licensed cook ) with a variety of dishes .
We'll all be sitting around and having lunch .
I don't know why we can easily be happy on Hanami picnic , but trust me , it's worth trying .
When you are contented with the occasion , I'll take you to the same station to see you off .

What a fab time we had with Kahoko, we had a great experience and visited all the place we asked! Temples, forest and Gion. She even helped us get back to the ship from where we were instead of having to go back into Kyoto. Thank you for giving up your afternoon for us.
