Kawagoe - Ancient Merchants Town Side Trip next to Tokyo
One day trip to the city of Kawagoe (a half an hour away from Tokyo). Kawagoe city has been knows as Little Edo (Little old Tokyo) as the streets are lined with warehouses, lot of temples and shrines.
Meeting Point
At your hotel in Tokyo
9:00 Hotel pick up - Take train to Kawagoe from nearest station
1 - 10:00 Arrive at Kawagoe station - Take a Retro loop Bus to Kita-in Temple
2 - 11:00 Stroll along to the Kurazukuri Area (Old Storehouse area), Kashiya Yokocho (Penny Candy Lane), Toki no Kane (Time Bell)
3 - 12:30 Lunch - Japanese cuisine restaurants (decide on the day)
4 - 13:30 Take the bus to Kawagoe Hikawa Shrine
5 - 14:30 Take the Loop bus to Honmaru Goten of Kawagoe Castle
6 - 15:30 Take the Loop Bus to Koedo Kurari, Sake Tasting and Commercial Complex
16:10 Tour end - Arrive at 17:00 in Tokyo

On Monday most of the museums and castle are closed.
During the tour we will use the bus to move to each destination, but every place is not that far and also the town is not so big, so people want to walk and explore on foot are always welcome please ask me before booking this tour.

“Kawagoe Trip”
This trip was a great first day in Japan as Christophe taught my mother and I quite a bit about the culture in Kawagoe. The restaurant Christophe took us to was amazing, the food was so good! I would highly recommend booking Christophe and this tour, you will learn a lot about Kawagoe and its unique Edo period style culture, have a really tasty lunch and see many cute shops! And Christophe is very open to talking and answering questions.
