In this tour, we’ll visit three must-see spots in Tokyo today: areas around the Imperial Palace, Sensoji Temple in Asakusa, and Meiji-jingu Shrine in Harajuku. Plus we enjoy delicious food in Tsukiji Outer-Market. This would be an ideal tour for first visitors to Tokyo. You can experience modern and traditional Tokyo through the tour. If you're not satisfied with the itinerary, it's OK to change it based on your interests. So the tour is also recommended to repeaters.

Sensoji Temple in Asakusa
The history of the temple dates back to the 7th century, the oldest one in Tokyo. It's very popular for its main entrance gate with a giant red lantern, called Kaminai-mon Gate.
Sumida River Cruise
About 35 minutes cruise from Asakusa to Hamarikyu Garden, enjoying the landscape of Tokyo Bay, the most developing area in Tokyo today.
Hamarikyu Garden
This is a beautiful traditional Japanese-style garden built in the 18 century. Walkways, mounds, pine trees, and tea houses are beautifully arranged around a big pond.
Tsukiji Outer-Market
The best place to enjoy delicious sushi with a reasonable price in Tokyo. More than 400 shops and eateries of sea foods gathers in the district and always full of energy with visitors. If you prefer other foods, please let me know. There're various options for lunch in Tokyo.
Imperial Palace Outer Garden
The garden is a historical site of former Edo castle, which had been the seat of Tokugawa feudal government (1603-1868). There are two bridges over moats, a watch tower of the castle, and the main entrance gate of the palace.
Meijijingu Shrine
It enshrines Emperor Meiji, who had successfully led Japan to the modern country after Meiji Restoration in 1868. Surrounded by deep forests, it's an oasis in downtown Tokyo.
Shibuya
Shibuya is a popular spot for young people in their teens and twenties. Various brands, shops and restaurants are located in fashionable buildings. We visit an open-air sky deck on the top of cutting-edge high-rise with 200 meters high and Shibuya crossing.

The transportation fare and admissions are about 3,800 yen per adult which includes one-day subway ticket, river boat and admission of Hamarikyu garden and Shibuya Sky. Lunch fee in Tsukiji is about 1,500 to 4,000 yen per person.

1.This is a tour enjoying walking around the sightseeing spots like locals. You are recommended to wear shoes suitable for walking. We usually don't use tourist taxies.
2.If you have any food restrictions such as vegetarians, macrobiotics, gluten free, and no-fish, please let me know in advance to plan for your lunch.
3.The tour is not covered with any travel insurances. I'd recommend that you buy your own travel insurance in case of any unexpected accidents and losses. Of course, I'll do my best to keep you away from such accidents.

“A truly wonderful guide”
Toru-san is an extra special guide, and the Hake Private Tour is extra special. Toru-san has the best English skills of any of the six guides we had in Japan. He is clearly also a high quality person - charming, warm, and kind. The Hakone Open-Air Museum is a world-class outdoor sculpture museum that also has an entire building full of Picasso art. And the Hakone / Lake Ashi area is beautiful. We highly recommend this day trip from Tokyo with this special guide.

I was so happy to share a pleasant time with you. Unfortunately, we couldn't take a cruise on Lake Ashi due to strong winds, but we were lucky to be able to see Red Fuji colored by the setting sun.
