“Tokyo in monsoonal rain”
Whilst Naoko is a lovely individual her English skills are only average. She was extremely willing, brought us umbrellas as the weather was monsoonal, but she is not a tour guide and was unable to adequately talk about Japan, its customs and traditions, its history or culture. She offered us a rebate as we cut the tour short by almost 50% but we have received nothing.
“A Delightful Day with Tomoko K”
My sister and I had a delightful day with Tomoko. She was friendly, kind and in tune with our needs. Prior to our tour, she messaged us to determine our interests and planned our itinerary accordingly. However, on the day of our tour, it was extremely stormy, so she adjusted our Itinerary to provide a fun and interesting day despite the storm. Tomoko was an excellent guide. She has a good command of English, can expertly navigate Tokyo and is knowledgeable about the culture, history and interesting sights. We truly enjoyed our day with Tomoko. She has a good sense of humor and was like a sister to us. We highly recommend Tomoko as an outstanding tour guide. Thank you, Tomoko, for a delightful day! Diana and Georgia

(18 reviews)Thank you for the wonderful review, Diana-san. Unluckily the weather was terrible. However, I enjoyed the tour with you and your sister. I also felt you were like my sisters. Georgia-san, thank you for the presents. Your handmaid porch is lovely and well-made. I like it. It will be my treasure and I will remember both of you when I use it. Thank you again, and I hope you will visit Tokyo in the near future. Tomoko

“Not our favorite tour”
Of 8 private tours we booked on a recent (cruise) visit to Japan, this was our least favorite. All 6 of us found our guide a nice guy who tried his best but was very difficult to understand. His English was heavily accented, his vocabulary more limited than other guides, and he spoke so softly that he was often inaudible. While we did all the things we planned to do, there was a passivity in the way he led the tour -- often not recognizing the group's desire to move on from a particular spot - which resulted in people wandering off on their own.
