Joetsu was the former capital city of Echigo Province until the mid 19th century. It has a lot of historic sites and scenic spots, and most of all good people. I love my city very much. I worked for the Joetsu City office for over thirty years. During my time there, I was in charge of international relations for about ten years. I can bring you to those popular destinations from my base, Toyama city. These are the examples of my tour: Kanazawa - Shirakawago - Takayama Takaoka - Gokayama - Shirakawago - Takayama Toyama - Tateyama Kurobe Alipne Route - Omachi (Nagano Pref.) During the tour I like to provide simple explanations about Japanese history, and small tips for using the Japanese language on your request. “Kurobe Gorge Tour”

“Great time at Gokayama, Shirakawago and Kanazawa”
Yuichi-san has been a great help right from the trip preparation. I did not have much time to own research and I relied on Yuichi-san's fantastic suggestions and planning for the itineraries, bus routes & schedules, etc. During the trip, Yuichi kept track of the time to ensure that I did not miss any buses but at the same time not to miss any of the great spots to visit and to take photos. I also enjoyed the cultural and historical information of the places that we visited. Thanks Yuichi-san for making this trip a stress-free one for me right from the planning and on the tour days. Not even the rain/ice/snow at Gokayama and Shirakawago could stop you from ensuring me having a good trip.
