I visited Tokyo from Washington, D.C., for the first time with my wife and 2 sons (aged 14 years and 5 years). We contacted T-chan and arranged for a 2 day tour across Tokyo and Yokohama. Our experience was excellent and exceeded our expectations! We met with her at our hotel lobby on both days on time and as planned, we used public buses and trains to get to our destinations (which was exactly what we wanted). On the first day in Tokyo, we visited the Meiji shrine, Tsukiji fish market (where we went to a traditional restaurant and had a delicious sushi meal), visited Ginza, Archibara and then the Shibuya crossing where we also took part in the crossing (what an experience!). On the second day, we went to Yokohama and visited the Minatomirai 21 wharf area, Yokohama Landmark Tower (which gave a great view of Yokohama), had a tasty lunch of Tonkatsu (fried pork) and miso soup at a local restaurant, visited Yamashita park and finally took the Seabus (boat) to Yokohama station from where we returned to our hotel. Our experience was excellent and this was an awesome trip! T-chan promptly responded to emails and had an itinerary scheduled before our visit that met our expectations. Her English is excellent and she took time to explain things and answer all our questions. She was also very patient with our 5 year old son. I will strongly recommend T-chan as a tour guide for any visit to Tokyo. We certainly plan to use her services when we return to Tokyo. This was one of our best vacations ever! Chima
Hi Chima! I quite enjoyed our tour, too. Thank you for bringing beautiful sunny weather with you. It's a Japanese belief that when children behave well, the weather would be great on their next "big event" (e.g. a school trip). Your children must have been on their best behavior prior to the tour as the weather was perfect! The view of Yokohama Bay from the Yokohama Landmark tower was made more breathtaking by the clear skies! Our lunch, Tonkaktsu (fried pork cutlets) was yummy, wasn’t it! Please keep in touch. Next time, let’s visit Kamakura for Zen temples! Hope to see you again sometime soon!
