It is a hiking tour where we can reach the second gate, that is, 4,500 meters above sea leve (14,765 feet). The volcano is known as the white woman or in Nahuatl: Iztaccíhuatl, or sleeping woman because of the shape it has. The hiking takes around three to four hours from the parking lot, known as la Joyita (the little jewel), to the second gate and back. Landscapes are wonderful, you can see other volcanoes and cities as long as the weather allows us.
