This small área is so unique that you can find murals, pyramids, and colonial churches. we'll go to Palacio Nacional (XVI century), where Diego Rivera (Frida Kahlo's husband) painted those famous mural in the 20’s that narrate Mexican history; just in the next corner we can find the Metropolitan Cathedral (1571), built over Aztec temple that make it sink and you can see it and feel the unevenness. And just in front of this emblematic building, the Huey Teocalli or Great Temple discover by accident in 1978, this is the Aztec Holy City, we can see reminds of pyramids, monoliths and a site museum is the best way to understand Mexican history, pre-columbian and colonial time period in just one place.
