I have been a volunteer local guide since 2018, during that time I have met people from all around the world which taught me a lot to interact with all kinds of people as well as to show my city in an authentic and interesting way. I like taking people to places that show the other Mexico city's face, a closer perspective to how its inhabitants live it day by day. History and photography are my other two great passions

Born and raised in the vibrant heart of Mexico City, I've always been captivated by the ancient wonders and rich cultural tapestry that our country has to offer. My journey led me to study archaeology and become a certified tourist guide, driven by a passion for uncovering the hidden stories of pre-Colonial art and worldviews. In 2018, I proudly earned my Master's Degree in Mesoamerican Studies from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). It was during this time that my love and passion for Mexico and its ancient cultures inspired me to create unforgettable archaeological and adventure tours in the Riviera Maya and Mexico City. My mission is clear - I aim to ignite interest and awareness about Mexico's rich historical, cultural, and natural heritage. That's why, with a commitment to preserving our heritage, my friends and I started our own project. In our project, we're on a mission to share the magic of Mexico with travelers who crave more than just a typical tourist experience. Our tours, led by passionate experts, promise to immerse you in the captivating history, art, and natural beauty of Mexico. Whether you're a history buff, art enthusiast, or nature lover, we have a unique adventure waiting for you. Join me for an unforgettable journey that transcends traditional tourism. Let's explore ancient wonders, create lasting memories, and support sustainable tourism. Book your adventure today and be a part of preserving Mexico's roots for generations to come. I am a México City local who is in love with it. I love my whole country but I love my city more. I have studied International Relations and Mexican gastronomy and it's history. I work as a tourist guide and in films as a chaperone; in there my job is to receive and take care of foreign producers and actors. Among the task, I take them to eat, party and find stuff that doesn't exist ( yes that happens). As there are different requirements for this jobs I get to know the different parts of the culture, the exclusive, fancy, curious, popular, untidy; the whole ideosincrasy. I am a serious foodie, also enthusiast about, coffee, beer, wine, mezcal and pulque (prehispanic drink). I like to collect hidden jewels from my city and I also like to cook but preferably with the proper calm and telling the story and culture around the food. In order to have some balance I am sportively very active, I practice football soccer and rugby, also willing to go outdoors anytime. When I was about to enter to study I wanted to do something good for my country; this jobs are a great way to do it, I am proud to show my culture. I also like the fact that I get to learn from visitors, their way of seeing the world. It is very rewarding when visitors leave happy.

Welcome to Mexico! I'm thrilled that you've chosen to explore this cherished corner of the world that I hold so close to my heart. Originally from Mexico City, I've spent over 18 years immersed in the Cancun and Riviera Maya region, including Playa del Carmen and Tulum. For the past 16 years, I've worked as a dedicated tour guide, starting with local adventure and culture tours. This journey has led me to connect deeply with the Mayan communities, learning from their wisdom and traditions. Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of guiding countless travelers—though I've lost track of the exact number. But one thing I can confidently say: I adore this profession. My exploration extends beyond these coasts. I've journeyed extensively across southeastern Mexico on overland tours spanning 10 to 15 days. Traveling from Mexico City to Playa del Carmen, I've traversed Puebla, Oaxaca, Chiapas, Tabasco, and the entire Yucatan Peninsula—my specialty. What I truly love are private tours. As for sales pitches, that's not my forte. But rest assured, we're destined to have a blast. We'll dive into cenotes, master the art of crafting corn tortillas, ascend ancient Mayan temples, learn from original cultures, and even grasp a few phrases in the Mayan language. Expect jungle hikes, exhilarating bike rides, an abundance of photographs and videos, snorkeling through vibrant coral reefs, and tranquil boat trips through nature reserves—home to crocodiles, spider monkeys, howling monkeys, flamingos, eagles, and more. We'll explore renowned spots for capturing epic photos. I can't wait to share these experiences with you. Until then, take care and see you soon!

Cancun Tour Guide - Jeroen A.

Jeroen A.

Mexico

My name is Jeronimo (Jeroen). I'm Mexican and European. I studied economics with a specialization in International Management at Maastricht University, The Netherlands. I have always been fascinated by Latin America. After my studies I worked as a consultant, entrepreneur and commercial director in Belgium, Brazil, The Netherlands, Guatemala, and Argentina. I have been active in humanitarian aid in Third World countries worldwide. I have travelled extensively to Africa, Eastern Europe and Latin America. I have worked as a tour conductor in France, Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, Belize and Indonesia. Mexico is where I decided to stay twenty years ago. I started off with groups of 20 people with trips of 28 days from Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, Belize and back to Mexico. After this I switched to trips of 21 days visiting the same countries. After having visited each archaeological site over 60 times, each time with another local guide, I decided to study Mexican History and Archaeology, inspired by some of the local guides who told the tourists that the Mayas landed from Mars in spaceships. I am specialized in Maya culture. Working with people and showing them different cultures is what fascinates me. In 2004, I started off with the big tour companies like TUI and Thomas Cook, who commercialized the trips from 28 days and reduced it to 12 days. I did that for 10 years, after which I went on as a private tour guide/driver for small groups. I offer private day tours and multi day tours to all archaeological sites and nature parks transportation included in English, French, German, Dutch, and Spanish.

Cenotes are naturally formed wells, which occur when porous limestone bedrock collapsed beneath the earth's surface hundreds of years ago.

Mexico Tour Reviews

Fantastic Tour

Oskar spoke perfect English and was extremely friendly. He is well educated and his knowledge of history, architecture and culture of the city was appreciated. He was very flexible with his tour and took us to places we would never have found ourselves. A great way to spend our only day in CDMX. Thank you Oskar.

Hi Leo! Thank you so much for your good review. You were really awesome and I truly appreciate your patience after all those inconveniences I had on my way to meet you. You were so nice and made me feel so comfortable with you. I hope you had a good time in Costa Rica. All the best Oskar

Amazing, Educational & In Depth

Jazmin hands down is the best tour guide I’ve had. She started the experience by asking me what my goals/focus areas were. She blended her thorough archeology background with a sense of humor throughout the tour. I highly recommend you book her - will not regret. Her style would be great with families with little ones as well

"Wow, thank you so much for your incredibly kind words! It was truly a pleasure to meet you and guide you through the museum. I'm thrilled to hear that you enjoyed it. It's always my goal to tailor the tour to meet your interests and make it as enjoyable as possible and have fun together. Your recommendation means the world to me, and I'm delighted to hear that you think my style would be great for families with little ones too. Thank you again for choosing me as your guide, and I hope to see you again soon for more adventures!"

Tailored one day highlights in a leisurely/relaxed pace!

Rafael is friendly, approachable, and very knowledgeable about the city, its history, museums, points of interests, etc. He can give you as much, or as little information you want to take in about the city. He is very adaptable to how people want their experience to go with this tour, which is something we really liked. First off, we enjoyed the experience of public transit (bus, metro/train) during this tour. Although there was an itinerary, it was flexible and depended on what our interests were. We were even able to sit at a café to enjoy coffee, conversation, architecture, and singing, at a pace that were suited for us. We were still able to hit up all the spots that were mentioned in the itinerary but what we loved about this tour with Rafael was that we were able to do it leisurely, stress-free, and with someone who knew this city. Thank you, Rafael, for an amazing experience! We'll be sure to hit you up when we come back with our family and friends!
