During this excursion we will explore Rabat the official capital of morocco, and seat of government, it has a feel of a grand imperial city, with a fascinating historical center filled with splendid sultan’s Palaces, inspiring mosques, and centuries old ramparts, imposing gates decorated with arabesque floral motifs. It is a thrilling mix of contemporary and ancient architecture, complemented by neat buildings housing political offices, and foreign embassies.

We will meet at your hotel or another accommodation, and we will take a private car or a taxi to the Capital of Morocco, Rabat is located approximately one hundred kilometers north of Casablanca (usually takes 1 hour by car) During our journey, we will talk about some history, and the cultural of Morocco. A great opportunity for you also in this reachable distance to learn more about the attractive resorts of Bouznika and Sekhirate, as well as a number of small towns including Mohamedia and Temara.
The first visit of Rabat starts from the Royal Palace that still contained within the city’s mighty walls, a stately collection of buildings dating back to 18th century, it’s a very much working palace today, seat of government and official home of King Mohamed VI and his family, we will explore by walking the grounds, the central ( Mechouar ) or the parade ground .
Our next stop is Challah Necropolis the oldest part of the city, a beautiful preserve and Roman ruins date back to the time when this area was part of Sala Colonia. The place includes also an atmospheric Royal necropolis witch were added in the 13 century by the Islamic Marinid dynasty.
After a long visit to challah Colonia, you can enjoy a break (lunch, or free time for one hour)
Hassan tower is the land mark of the city, the first and most obvious minaret that was never completed, another notable feature of the site is the cluster of 200 columns gathered around the base of the tower. Across of the mosque stands the magnificent structure of Mausoleum Mohamed V.
we continue our visit to another historical monument, which is the Oudaïa Kasbah with its mighty honey-colored ramparts, and watch towers, located in the banks of Oud Bouregreg river, This ancient fortress entered via the Bab Oudaïa an intricately decorated gateway, leading to different corners and picturesque bleu and white narrow streets, including an old Palace which turns into an archeological museum, next to it a beautiful peaceful Andalusian Garden takes place, while we’re in this area we stop off at Cafe Maure the best place to enjoy a delicious local mint tea, and watching boats bobbing about the Bouregreg river.
Before living Rabat we will stop at the New town, the administrative district, it was created during the time of the French protectorate to house government offices, banks, and Moroccan parlement building, which have been designed in Hispano Maghrebi style with elegant decorated exterior.
