Our Shan State is full of beautiful mountain scenery. A variety of vegetables and fruits grow here and are transported to other areas. There is also one of the most famous floating gardens in the Inle region. Different from earth-planted tomatoes, you can see them planted on the water. In this tour, we are going to visit floating gardens, farmer villages, and see fisherman hauling in fish by the conical nets.
Feel free to personalize this offer with Ko.
Leg-rowing fisherman is the icon of Inle Lake, as well as of Myanmar. They stand on one leg and wrap another leg around the oar and rotate this leg to move the boat along.
Inle is the biggest tomato-growing area in our country, but in here, tomatoes grow on the water. Not confined by soil and earth, other produce, like beans, cucumbers, flowers, and gourds can also grow on water.
Built on the water, the stilt villages are about 10-15 feet above water. Fishing from your home is never a mere dream here.
Myanmar's traditional weaving. Extracting and weaving lotus fibers into a robe, an exquisite handicraft that will give you an exceptional experience. 8000 lotus flower stems are used to make one woven scarf which takes 20 days to 1 month to make.
Traditional Myanmar food
Producing gold and silver ware is a long tradition of Myanmar. You can see the gold and silver are made by local craftsman, so much nicer and unique than other places.
See how craftsmen build a boat all by hand.
One of the most revered monastery in this area. There are 5 ancient images of the Buddha that are covered in gold leaves. Nga Hpe Kyaung Monastery has another name-the Jumping Cat Monastery, where the cats here are trained by the monks to jump through small hoops.
