Hello My name is Luis and I'm your local guide from Lisbon. Welcome to my city and I will very happy to be your next GPS on your journey to Portugal. My curiosity for traveling and getting to know new cultures in the world was always evident. My life in tourism has already taken me to travel and get to know different realities, I started by going to the Highlands, where I worked in the various departments of Marriot Dalmahoy in Edinburgh, I also had the possibility to check out the madness of the Balearic Islands as a hotel animator for some seasons. But it was my country that I fell in love with, its history, traditions, gastronomy, the relaxed way we always find solutions to problems. I think the main feature on my tours is the enthusiasm. I am a local guide in the city of Lisbon, but I know Portugal and islands well and for this reason, if you need a guide and want to get to know Portugal in a more exciting, curious and historical way. Getting to know Lisbon in a relaxed way and telling you travel story. Storytellers, is one of the main objectives was Tour Guide. I make the difference because of my experience and knowledge of 11 years in this market of tour guiding. Unfortunately, the profession of official guide is not accredited in Portugal, making anyone who has historical knowledge, tour guides. There are only two entities accredited in Portugal Snatti and Agic. I am a member of Snatti. My business is due to 3 big sections: Walk Tours, Daytrips and multi days tours. I have a variety of themes in my tours: Cultural, gastronomic, historical, street art, nature, wineries, etc.

I am a former engineer with a 9 to 5 office job. For about 30 years, when I occasionally had family and friends in town, I would take my private car and show them around the city, which helped me achieve a knowledge very solid about the neighborhoods and history of Lisbon. When I finally had the opportunity to retire, I thought about transforming those private moments with family and friends into a profitable activity. Then I drove tuk tuks with Tugatours during 5 years and loved every moment of it. The opinions received from customers were very motivating, representing enormous support and encouragement. I finally felt the need to add walking tours to my Lisbon Tours offer and I feel comfortable with both options.

I became a Tourist Guide in 2015 when I decided to give professional continuity to a life that had already crossed other professions. My passion for history and travel brought me the desire to study and share knowledge about the "history of places", to go beyond what we see, to enter the soul of what we visit and to learn a little about the mentalities of those who inhabited and lived in the same places we visit today. Private visits are the best way for me to express myself. In my 7-seater van, I welcome my guests in English, French, Italian and Portuguese. My tours focus on an off-the-beaten-track approach to surprise my clients by discovering the natural and historical beauty of Portugal, but even places that are considered too touristy can be given a unique and meaningful reading.

Olá! Hi! I’m Izzy! Thanks for coming to my page and hopefully soon, Porto! Originally from Lisbon, I moved to Porto in 98 to get my college degree in Biology. So quickly I fell in love with this city, its people, its food and wine - Porto is the homeland of the famous Port Wine and Francesinha, one of the best sandwiches in the world - its rich diverse history and world-renowned cultural treasures that I have been living here since then. After University, I lived in Paris for one year, where I got a graduate degree in Image, Communication and Protocol - communicating with people is my passion – and I have been working in Tourism and Hospitality for the past years. Traveling is all about exploring and understanding the place you visit, its people, history, culture and heritage diversity, as well as experience their traditions and gastronomy. Only this way you’ll be able to make unforgettable memories that will last a lifetime. As your guide, I´ll show you the city of Porto beyond the standard and conventional tourist-made itineraries, with all the well-known highlights, on tailor-made experiences, often along unexpected routes. Whether it’s a Walking Tour through Medieval Porto, a Culinary Tasting at Porto’s most iconic restaurants, or a Guided Tour in the North of Portugal, for small groups, couples, families, students, business professionals or solo travellers, anything is possible. Just choose from one or more of my predesignated tour options or contact me and I will create the best itinerary based on your interests and needs! See you soon!

Hi! I'm Francisco :) I´m a local guide, born and raised in sintra. I know sintra many years before the turism started, before 1996, it was my playground and a place for locals. I heard many legends about mysticism, secrets and sintra stories, told by local elders. Later I joined a group in sintra and deepened my historical knowledge and the Portuguese spiritual tradition linked to the Templars and knights of order of christ. The passion for history comes from my father, a history teacher and a monarch. Now, I'm responsible for sharing my passion and knowledge in a immersing guided view of Sintra, Quinta-da-Regaleira, and Pena Palace, and the keeper of the first "door" to sintra history culture and spirituality.

I´m Paulo, born and raised in this great and beautiful city of Aveiro which is also known as the "Portugueses Venice" because of its charm and the many canals that cross it! Since 2010, I have been working in tourism as a professional guide, so I have ample experience with walking tours and knowledge about the amazing city of Aveiro. I can assure you, you will love the time we spend together as my tours are known for being safe, comfortable, and relaxing while you get to know all about what the city is really like. I am passionate about welcoming people, and I am always delighted to socialize with different cultures, people, languages, and listen to their stories, and of course...having the opportunity to get to tell them all about my own! :) My experience in tourism activity allows me to create, develop, and offer true and unique experiences, valuing your time with full respect for your rest and freedom. I will welcome you with a great smile, followed by excellent recommendations on "what to visit, to see and amazing places off the beaten track in Aveiro", and I will give you a guide with a map that shows you how to see everything the city has to offer. My personal philosophy is, "Inspired by you" Do you accept the challenge?

Being an off-road driver for over 30 years, I know Portugal and Morocco inside out, literally “off the beaten track”. Making friends along the way and getting to know their culture, led me to organize tours and trips. Me and my team (guides) put our heart and soul into each experience. As a result, taking travellers beyond the destination, away from the usual touristic hustle. With this, we have been leading Private Tours in Portugal and Morocco for over 10 years.

Hello. My name is Marisa and I am a tour guide in the ancient, mysterious and beautiful city of Lisbon. Lisbon is an ancient city and Phoenicians, Romans, Muslims, Catholics passed through this city all left their mark in heritage, words and food. Lisbon was also a city of spies. Even the real James Bond ( yes, it was a real James Bond) lived here and worked here. So, if you want to join me in this journey, I offer you, in Lisbon, 2 tours: a tour to discover the old town of Lisbon and a spy tour, focusing on world war II. But if you want to experience a magical place, I'll take you to Pena Palace. Pena Palace is a must-see, in the beautiful, romantic and world heritage, Sintra Village. And in the end, before you leave Portugal, I promise you will understand the true meaning of the Portuguese word Saudade. See you soon. Goodbye or Adeus!

Porto Tour Guide - Ricardo M.

Portugal

My name is Ricardo and I was born and raised in Porto City. Although tourism changed Porto for the best (in my opinion) for the last 5 years, me and my family had to move out from Porto, into the bush, housing and living costs became very high and we made the choice that we should move out to the countryside. In this last year 2020 and even this year 2021 with pandemic work just fell down drastically and we had to adapt. Making Port Wine, Muscat wine and sometimes olive oil in a amatuer way since 2014, this hobbie become my family income. With vineyards and olives fields almost abandoned from the pandemic I rolled up my sleeves and went to work, asking neighbours and friends if I could keep their grapes and olives for harvest time, their answers were immediately YES Dividing my life between Porto and Douro Valley, me and my family feel completely safe, happy and relaxed with this new way of living your life. Come and see my amazing town Porto and Douro Valley Wine Region from the eyes of a local !!! Hope to see you soon. Cheers !!! I am a city girl, now a mommy, but still young and wild at heart! My passions are food, music, cinema and my friends. If you stick with me you will probably end up in a show or a party amongst friends and family!I know my way around fairs and markets ‘cause I grew up in a traditional Lisbon market. Join me for a morning of buying fresh produce for dinner and a cool drink at the local viewpoint. I am the main experience provider in Show me Lisbon, so I have been telling stories about the city history for more than 10 years now. I love cooking and organizing cool parties or cozy intimate dinners! I am also an expert in the perfect caipirinha…

Sintra and Cascais tour with Rodrigo

Rodrigo was substituted for Joao as my guide on the Sintra and Cascais tour. His English communication skills were excellent. We visited the Queluz Palace and his knowledge of the history of the palace really enhanced the visit. We also stopped at Cabo de Roca , did some shopping in Sintra and stopped for lunch in Cascais. Drove along the coast in the seaside town of Estoril on our return to Lisbon. I thoroughly enjoyed the trip and would highly recommend Rodrigo’s tour guide services.
