Hello, I'm Taka.
Tokyo is my hometown all through my life, and I know many interesting places and things to do, which are not yet introduced in the travel books. It will be a real pleasure sharing my knowledge with you.

I have been in broadcasting business for over 30 years, and as a TV director I have made a countless coverage trips all around the globe.
Also I am a professional winemaker in the Unites States, and stay in California during the harvest time every year, from September to November.
With my unique business back ground, I have decided to start my new business as a professional tour guide specializing in the Tokyo area.

Can I make changes after I book?
Yes! If you need to make changes such as removing or adding someone to your booking or changing the date or time of your tour, contact us by phone or email
Starting and ending points of the tour.
After you secure your booking, the starting and ending points of your tour can be customized to your convenience (ex.: your hotel, nearby stations, etc.). Don't worry, we will take care of you! Some tours may have an extra fee for this service, make sure to check the tour page.
What happens after I book a tour?
After booking a tour, the guide will accept (or decline) your booking within 24 hours. Then you will be noticed by email from GoWithGuide.
Is the price per person or per group?
The price is charged per group. Which means that you make a one-time payment for your entire group and the price will not change if it is less or more people.
Can I add more people to my booking?
Some guides accept extra people (more than the specified number) for an extra charge. Please check for the extras on the tour or booking page, or contact your guide directly to clarify.
Will there be other tourists in my tour?
No. Your tour is private, only for you and your family or friends, there will be no other group of tourists together in your tour.
Can the guide pickup me at the airport?
Yes, but there will be additional charge for that and it is not by car. The guide will go pick you up using public transportations. For further details, please contact your guide directly.
I'm travelling alone. Can I book this tour?
Yes, you can and you may be able to get a discount if you are traveling alone. Price depends on which guide you choose.
Cancellation Policy
- If you cancel in the first 14 day(s) before the meeting time, there is a 100% charge.
- If you cancel between 15 and 29 day(s) in advance of the meeting time, there is a 50% charge.
- If you cancel at least 30 day(s) in advance of the meeting time, there is a 100% refund.

“ Day and Night tour with Taka ”
Taka was an excellent guide. He helped create a tour for our family of 4, like food tasting at Tsujiki Fish Market and teen shopping at Harajuku, along with giving us information at all the sites we visited. He also showed us the numerous Winter Illumination shows in Tokyo. Since it was our second time in Tokyo, Taka made sure that we did not go to the same place twice. Would highly recommend him for any tour.

“ Great Tour, Bad weather ”
we met Taka on time at the appointed time in front of our apartment and got on well from the start. taka told us a lot about Tokyo and showed us many great impressive places and buildings, gave us countless tips for the next few days, what else we should see, where to find good food and what to look out for. it was a fantastic day with him despite the bad weather. but also for bad weather taka has many good tips on what to do. thank you taka for the great time with you and the great tip for the Shabu-Shabu, delicious

“ Off the beaten track with Taka ”
We had a wonderful day with Taka. On a sunny, mild December day we enjoyed the magnificent Rikugien Garden with autumn colors. We headed to Sugamo and “Grandma’s Market“ where we had a delicious lunch of fried oysters, shrimp and pork. We strolled through the alleys of Kagurazaka and ended at an Izakaya in Monzennakacho. Taka put together a perfect itinerary for our group of three who had requested non-touristy destinations! We enjoyed our time with Taka and appreciated his broad knowledge of Tokyo and his expert navigation of the subway system. Thank you, Taka!

“ Family tour ”
Taka was a fantastic guide and was great tailoring our day with our 5 year old daughter. We toured the Tsukiji market and around Ginza getting a great taste of local life and food. He listened to the things we wanted to try and made sure to accomodate our interests and was wonderful making sure the day was suitable for walking around with a 5 year old. He provided some suggestions for places to eat and visit for the rest of our stay. We highly recommend Taka.
