Hi! I'm Yoshi.
I am a National Government Licenced Guide Interpreter.
Since I was born in Tokyo, near Asakusa, the famous tourist spot, and I now live in Yokohama, I am very familiar with many sightseeing spots and attractions of Tokyo and Kanagawa area.
I used to live in California in the states, as a graduate student at UCLA and Stanford University, so I speak natural American English.0
I used be a CEO of an internet company, dealing business with many foreign companies of the US, European countries and Asian countries. Therefore, I know your culture!
I can explain Japanese culture, by comparing them with yours.
Of course, I can guide you to the popular spots, like Asakusa, the Imperial palace, Meiji shrine, Shinjuku, and Shibuya. But also I can take you to some secret places, which nobody knows, like a hidden temple in a dungeon.

We had a great time with Yoshi. We subwayed and walked all over (30k steps) Tokyo. We saw so many things that we never would’ve even known to see or, if we had known, wouldn’t have known how to get to efficiently. We also learned a lot about the history of Tokyo, ate excellent sushi, and left with a plan that worked perfectly for the next day. Thank you, Yoshi!
Jennifer, I also enjoyed very much walking with you :-) It sounds like you made it to the museum, successfully. I am sure you enjoyed the tea! Have a safe trip back home. Come again, Yoshi
Yoshi's tour was one of the finest travel experiences I've ever had. His knowledge and passion for Japanese culture are deep, and his ability to immerse you in the gravity of the places you are visiting is astounding. Yoshi also has an enormous amount of information about Japanese history, religion, and culture and how all three of them have shaped modern-day Japan. Do yourself a favor, and book a tour with him to really learn about Tokyo and Japan as a whole. I now have a much deeper understanding and appreciation of a culture that is radically different from my own. Thanks for a great tour, Yoshi!
Hi, Dylan, I also had a wonderful day with you, showing you around this gigantic city. I appreciated your thoughtful questions and I myself learned much from them. Next time you come to Japan, I can show you deeper world of the city. Thanks again, Yoshi
We really wanted to go to the Studio Ghibli Museum, and since it’s so hard to get tickets, we hoped that Yoshi could. He was successful and spent 30 minutes hitting the button to purchase them! We so appreciated his effort because the museum was incredible. He also took us to different highlights we had chosen, which would have been very hard to do on our own. Since he knew how to get us to these places, we were able to see a lot more in one day. Our half day in Asakusa was rainy and cold. He gave us a tour and history of the area and then took us to some wonderful indoor activities that the kids loved! He also took us to a wonderful place for lunch and sent us off in the futuristic water bus headed for Odaiba. We were so glad he recommended that. It was a really neat experience. I am very... read more
Dear Cher, It was a wonderful day for me too, spending time with your charming family. Although it was a bit chilly day in Asakusa, I am glad that you had a good time there and enjoyed a trip to Odaiba. It is very difficult to purchase tickets for Ghibli Museum, so I appreciated you for having booked so early that I could prepare the tickets for you. Thank you, Yoshi
Yoshi had fulfilled all our expectations. We had a very efficient communication before arrival and a very succesfull implementation of the itenary we had planned together and it has really been a pleasure being together with Yoshi. We can give Yoshi our warmest recommandations.
Thank you for your great comment. I am glad that you had a good time here. Enjoy your rest of the trip. Yoshi
We had a very big list of everything we wanted to see. Yoshi picked us up at our ship. We accomplished everything on our list. He assisted with helping me make difficult purchases. I only wish we had more days to tour with him. He is so very knowledgeable. What a special person he is. Thank you again Yoshi!!
Thank you for your great comments, Maxine. I myself enjoyed a day with you. I was so glad that you could make it today, although your boat had delayed for a day because of the typhoon. Have a nice trip!
