KON-NICHI-WA (Hello) I’m Mitsuru (Mark) Sakai .
I was born in Hokkaido, the north part of Japan.
I moved to Seattle, USA when I was five and the name MARK was given by my classroom teacher then. It was also when I started to learn English, though it was a kid English, still I may using.
I came back to Japan when I was eleven and I experienced difficulties adjusting to new circumstances.
It was tough one.
Though, It forced me to notice the differences and similarities that lay between the two countries.
Definitely these experiences became my precious back bone to be a tour guide still today.
My favorite subject is Japanese history especially regarding Shinto, Buddhism and samurai-culture.
Also I love great architectures and traditional gardens.
But my most favorite thing to do above all is to make your trip ever enjoyable.
I’d like to make you feel relaxed, safe and secured.
I wish I could see you someday soon..
Thank you.
Mitsuru Mark Sakai.

I learned a lot about the history and culture of Kamakura. Mark explained all about the different shrines and the meanings. It made the experience of visiting the temples so much easier.
Thank you so much for giving me the 5-stars. Due to the Covid-19, there were few restrictions we had to followed, however I hope you enjoyed my tour and had a good time. Arigato-gozaimasita.
We only had one day to tour in Tokyo and Mitsuru did a great job getting us to the type of sites we wanted to see. He provided us with a list of top sites and and found our interests and set a custom tour to show us the most he could . Even with the closure of sites due to the Corona virus, with his knowledge of the city he was easily able to make suggestions at the last second for other sites. Mitsuru speaks very good English and can move around the city with ease due to his knowledge of the subways. He also has a good sense of humor and knowledge of Japanese history and religion. Great day Mitsuru! Thank you!
Thank you very much for sending such a wonderful review of mine. Yes it was a kind of a day probably I would remember for years. Since all the museaums were closed and all the indoor activities had been canceled due to Corona-virus, what made worse was the misty rainy day that we couldn't enjoy the view of Tokyo from any observatory deck, our option was very limited. I'd really like to thank you for your big heart and give me a chance to do my architecture-tour which I was planning to perform someday. I hope I can see you again some day.
I cannot day enough good things about our tour with Mitsuru (“Mark”). My wife and I have never visited Japan and relied on Mark to pick our schedule. He did and the tour was phenomenal. He gave us great information both historically and culturally. Also, some people may feel uneasy about what it’s like to spend a day with someone they’ve never met. Rest assured, Mark is great company! He’s friendly and the conversations were fun. He made sure we had interest in everything we were about to see, and also gave us great tips about how to spend the remainder of our trip. We had our tour with Mark on day 1 of our trip, and I highly recommend you do the same- he will give you great tips about other cool things to see.
Thank you so much for the wonderful review. And also I'm sorry for my late response to it. I'm so happy to hear again you enjoyed my tour. It was a great ICHIGO ICHIE. Happy Anniverary ! I hope I can see you again .

What a wonderful time I had with you all! I was able to see all of you smiling which encouraged me a lot. Telling the truth, I was a bit worried about your legs that someone might got really tired. But I was completely wrong. It was my great pleasure to have a chance to attend a such a wonderful people. I hope you all enjoy the rest of your journey.
Six of us had Mr Mitsuru guide us in Kamakura. It was a lovely day. We used trains and walked a lot. He managed to please us all with visits to examples of various temples. Each one different and each offering something different. He was also funny and informative. Thank you Mack.
HI Roline. Thank you so much for your kind review. I'm glad to hear you enjoyed my tour. However I regret I should have slow down a bit and provide more time for recess. I hope I can see you again some time in future. Best Regards Mark.
